You ever wonder why the small band of spectrum we can see (called visible light) is special? I mean almost all animals see in light ranges are are somewhere around here. I mean sure some can see a little farther into IR or UV but in general all animals see roughly around this same narrow band of frequencies in an otherwise infinite spectrum... So what is so special?

Its actually a quantum thing. Everything roughly around visible light and higher interacts with material by electrons jumping energy levels. However IR energy is absorbed by the bonds between molecules instead, which is why IR represents heat.

Basically visible light is right where these two modes intersect. Essentially they are the lowest energy part of the spectrum that is still high enough energy to interact primarily through changing energy levels of electrons. Essentially any more energy and it wont really get through the atmosphere as extreme UV is cut off.. any lower and it wouldnt be very effecieient cause most of the energy goes to heating the eye rather than seeing... So its right in that sweet spot.

Yes as I said in my original message that is what he is good at, lying and fooling people. So yes I am not surprised he has you fooled, and others.

As people know, and I've told this to @stux I think before too... Biden is an old family friend. He has been going to my parents house for dinner since before I was born. It very well may be that me knowing him personally makes it more obvious to me than others.

I mean it seems hard to judge 10 - 15 years of pushing segregation when he specifically says its because he wants his kids to not go to school with other races "racial jungle" as he puts it... to me that goes well beyond an honest mistake.

It also seems very obvious that he hasnt changed other than to go from directly being racist to exploiting minorities instead... but his comments seem quite clear he isnt any better a man and is still just going to use minorities to his own advantage.

Seems the only part of that we agree on is Trump then.

I mean I do agree with "but he's not purposely firing people up with bigotry".. he does make sure to hide his evil (which in some ways is worse).. so I do sorta agree that he doesnt intentionally rile people up sure, largely because he tries to hide how horrible a person he is, trump doesnt.

Is it just me or do a lot of people when they get older, even if they dont gain weight, their fingers get chubbier.

I'm watching Picard and all the actors are like 20 years old than when I used to watch them.. and I keep noticing their hands all look chubbier than I remember...

Yea but in a society where votes cant be bought then no one **needs** even a dollar in donors... In fact if we saw a person take even a dollar and spend it on advertising we would refuse to vote for that person for the immorality of trying to game the election with money, it would ruin their career... only leaving the people who refuse donations for consideration...

We dont do that, and thats our fault as voters (not the people spending money)... we should

I spend a lot of money on it whether it gets used or not. :) Luckily I use it alot.. i managed like 30 projects and some can be rather active.
