I want to create the "Everyone open-source license that ever has existed and ever will exist" license... By using the license you agree to simultaneously release your code under all licenses that have ever and will ever be written that satisfies the definition of a FOSS/FLOSS license.

Flame Wars engage!

@freemo that was quick! Exciting. I'll *definitely* check it out this week.

@andypiper Yea i work in really fast moving spirts... packaged a lot into it for such a short time.. check out my home page, im particularly exceited about the dev heat map i added and im just waiting for a dev to see it and go "I like that!"

@Doppelganger75 @MattHodges

Huh no one said anything about heading to the bunker or the end of the world.. its just a small (and possibly soon to be large) recession.. no need to be hyperbolic about ir.

Version 2.0.0 of Fedipage is out!

It is a Hugo based static site generator with ActivityPub/Fediverse support.

If nothing else check out the new github/gitlab-like developer heatmap on the home page. It updates in real time!

Anyway, super happy about this. Enjoy everyone! Let me know if you have questions

A New Major Version Released: Fedipage v2.0.0
Fedipage, the source that powers this static website with ActivityPub, has just released v2.0.0! We have a ton of new features and bug fixes in this release.
You can find the release on our GitLab here: https://git.qoto.org/fedipage/fedipage/-/tags/v2.0.0
The following is the list of all the new features:
Removed content folder and moved out the Fedipage site into a separate repo. This should make it easier for people who use this site to update from the upstream here without needing to worry about conflicts due to content.

@Doppelganger75

And the other year was Trump... So not sure how well that accomplishment might serve him.

@MattHodges

@ashwinvis I know this is old... but you got a link.. I <3 tufte style margins.

Anyway, take your victory lap and collect your prizes. You've made it clear that I'm not welcome here, and even though I disagree with the action this Admin is taking (banning me when I didn't break any rules doesn't seem right), I respect and support the Admin's decision to run their instance the way they see fit.

Please do your very best to be kind to each other. The world is a terrible place right now, and that's largely because it is what we make it.

Bye.

@freepeoplesfreepress Thank you.. with talk like that people might start assuming you really are AI :)

@nixCraft LOL I maxed out the number of domain names my registrar will allow me to have without getting special permission to increase the number.... it costs me 1000$+ a year in renewals, lol.

@dontreportme

He could have done worse... phenomenal doesnt describe how he performed IMO though. I think to many it may simple feel that way because he is following trump, which would make anyone look better.

@MattHodges

@MattHodges

> Ah, I see we're doing noun gymnastics.

LOL, no.. I am a professional Data Scientist... I am talking about these numbers in the **correct** way.

> In that case, you said "Unemployment is 10% higher" which, of course, it is not.

No, please stop talking nonsense... Literally the number of people who are unemployed has increased by 10%, exactly what I said. It would be highly inaccurate to say it any other way.

> The rate is 10% higher than itself.

Yes which is exactly what I said, that unemployment increased by 10% since before covid.

> But, again, we're doing word gymnastics to misrepresent a point.

No thats what your doing, I am using the technically correct terminology to describe a change in a population.

> Sure, fine, 3.8 is roughly 110% of 3.5.

Or more correctly "represents a 10% increase", which was what I said.

> It's also irrelevant to the question of a recession, because 3.8% unemployment is a fantastic unemployment rate.

Yes 3.8% is good, a recession however is relative, a 10% increase is certainly what you'd expect early on in a recession. In and of itself it would be nothing to stress too much over, other than indicating a recession is forming.

You are also picking out one indicator among many, an inflation rate that is 3x higher and a 20% drop in buying power all make it quite clear a recession is at hand... the increasing unemployment supplements that fact (though on its own could be dismissed).

@freepeoplesfreepress They may simply not make their follower list public, in which case it will just show as 0.

@MattHodges

Right, te day before the lock down it was at 3.5, today it is at 3.8

If you do the math that is a ~10% increase

So check, that one is confirmed true, next.

@freepeoplesfreepress Ahhh those are Nostr users (or this looks like a fork of Nostr)... They are ActivityPub capable but have a weird implementation that looks like that (uuid for the user, usually dont show their icons)... In and of itself they are normal users. It is possible the service is being abused though.;

@MattHodges

All of the numbers I gave were directly fromt he published numbers of the Bureau of Labor Statistics. If you feel you have a more reliable source or can debunk that particular source feel free... simply saying something is wrong, however, does nothing to advance the discussion.

@freepeoplesfreepress Nah was in a hole the past few days working on a combination of my startups and fedipage.com (which now powers my personal site jeffreyfreeman.me !)

So just busy :)
