@realcaseyrollins that is one of them. Notice it has phrases like "According to OCHA 91 Palestinians have been killed".. in that case OCHA is the group that did the reporting.

@realcaseyrollins for the article or the situational report... I just closed it again but i can find you a situational report if you want.

@realcaseyrollins Do you not follow the UN's reporting of the situation? They mention it a bit indirectly in the article I posted (listing individual situational reports along side specific numbers of specific groups). But the reading of their articles in general it is quite clear the reporting is coming from the situational reports that **they** issue which includes the up to date numbers and death tolls.. one such report is linked int he article we are discussing.

In those reports it goes through and lists each incident, the deaths, and which UN agency on the ground reported it.. the un is all about keeping the other groups accountable so they go out of their way to keep a detailed accounting of who is reported, why, and from what source, most of which are UN sources. Just read throught he UN reporting they make it quite clear what the chain of accountability is.

@freepeoplesfreepress Napping and sleep isnt so much my issue. I get enough of that. I need more recreation though.

@realcaseyrollins There are a **lot** of those reports. I cant say I added them up myself. But the UN at least claims those reports as a source for those numbers, so I presume they did the math, I tend to trust the UN enough that they would not lie so outright.

@realcaseyrollins They dont, they come from multiple sources, the Hamas, as well as various groups ont he ground. The individual situational reports list the incidents and death tolls and which group reports it.

@realcaseyrollins They cite the specific sources for individual situational death tolls in the situation report. Most of them come from UN groups in the latest report at least.

@realcaseyrollins They have come from multiple sources inteh area (as the UN explained)...

Well Israel murdered 5000 peoplesince oct 7, 400 int he last 24 hours. Of those murdered 40% were children.

Its like every time Hamas goes terrorist the Israelis need to to out-terrorist them and then they get surprised when things dont get better....

@realcaseyrollins Nevermind, I was qwrong. I just reread it and found it. It was 400 in the last 24 hours, 5000 since oct 7.

Ill delete my post and repost

@realcaseyrollins Fair point.. the one that said it was 24 hours was new york post but i dont have that link anymore.

@jellycrystals I just spent a month in Thailand (my girlfriend is from there)... the smog was really bad when i first got there.

@realcaseyrollins Yes we both know that both sides have a history of using children as human shields.

Here is the report from the UN itself by the way confirming the numbers:

news.un.org/en/story/2023/10/1

@realcaseyrollins You realize this has been the pattern **every** time this happens with israel... I showed yout he death toll in past conflicts... usually israel kills something like 10x to 15x the people of hamas every round, and most of them tend to be children due tot he indiscriminate nature of their attacks.

@realcaseyrollins Nope, these are the official numbers reported and repeated by quite a few news agencies

@thatguyoverthere

Well you get vacation days as a seperate alotment. And if you use your sickdays for vacation, and especially if you come in sick to do so, then I think its the company's business as your causing harm to your coworkers to do that.

@migmit

As was explained to me the number of sick days were fixed but if i had an actual injury that would cause me to need more then there is a process, like you wont loose your job.

But thats true of the USA too.. it is illegal to fire someone in the USA due to illness.

@knittingknots2

@knittingknots2

By the way to be clear I am not claiming my expiernce with sick days is typical. I was just asked about my personal expiernce and am answering.

I am saying most other people do have fixed sick days, even though i never have, int he USA. Its just that most people wont use them so they can use them later when they arent sick... or because they cant afford to not get paid, one of the two. Usually a bit of both.
