@szczur sadly the only real solution that feels good would require a time machine :)

@szczur Im not suggesting they kill themselves.

Ideally they never would have invaded, but at this point we are passed that. If they intend to stay and resolve the issue, the ethical approach would be 1) never keep land perminantly 2) go in, occupy the space, putin a transitional government for a few years and establish democracy and rule of law. Transition the land back to them once democracy seems to be thriving.

Sadly their past of them just stealing the land, kicking everyone off of it, then taking it for their own is appaling, and generally unheard of in military encounters (even if land is taken people generally can remain on it if they are there).. .so their track record would probably make it hard for anyone to trust they would ever give the land back if they did that.

So an ideal in my mind (but wont happen) is if some third-party invaded both of them and dissolved the israel AND the palestinian govt.

@szczur I mean even if his plan was to let this happen.. it was still hamas that did it. At worst Israel just never seriously tried to exterminate them. So we cant exactly give either side a pass here.

That said the palestinians were there first, sot here is that.

@szczur

It sounds like I probably entierly agree with you based on your reasoning.. you can be logically in the right and still be very much the ass :)

@chiraag

@szczur
There is a part of me that thinks Israel keeps hamas in power by being intentionally ineffective. This way they have an excuse to go to war and genocide more people year after year and take their land.

During the time they had some "peace" when i was there before the big war started I remember how they were talking about taking more land from them even though they werent actively fighting a the time. Many isralis didnt like that jews were taking their settlements during peace time. Cant say I'm surprised that pissed them off.

@szczur

Good on you man. Its really hard for many to admit they acted inappropriately, especially when it comes to such an emotional topic.

You have my respect!

@chiraag

@szczur

I am glad to hear you feel you went to far... Might i suggest, in light of that feeling, you apologize to her? It doesnt mean you have to agree with her (I dont either). But it might go a long way in letting you know you at least care.

@chiraag

@freemo @gat
When people say the founding fathers didnt consider we would have "AR15s".

@freepeoplesfreepress I am sorry you went throught hat. In the end it seems you turned out great, im just sorry you had to go through that to get there.

@log

New introduction:
Hi. I lost hundreds of followers here after speaking my truth about what's happening as an Israeli with family directly affected by the massacre and kidnapping. People mainly gaslight me on the facts I live through, I barely functioned this past month bc of this. I'm an artist and a neurodivergent queer, here to connect with people who love music, film and crafts.
I want all to love and live in peace.
If you vibe with that let's chat more.

Ha... ive done more good for this economy than you could ever hope for.. I have taken in homeless people on abotu a dozen occasions, in some cases paid for their college, given them room and board for years. I feed the homless every weekend I can, I have generated huge quantities of wealth, much of which i have given away for free (either as money or as resources)...

I will take what i have done to this keyboard warrior nonsense any day of the week.

@AdrianRiskin @jeffowski

@log

Yes you made clear your bias and hate already.. your wrong IMO of course, but no need to repeat your bias.

If you think being a landlord is free money with no work then clearly you dont understand what it takes to be a landlord.

I have a few properties. The reason I refuse to rent out any of them is because the money made is far too little for the amount of work it would take. Makes more sense for me to just let them sit empty until I or someone I know needs it.

@AdrianRiskin @jeffowski

@log

If the rent seekers provided so little value you would have gotten rid of them already... but feel free to prove me wrong... go ahead, get rid of them, ill wait, bet you cant cause their vital ::watches as you do it::
