For whatever it is worth as someone who condemns both Israel and palestine for their acts... I just want to say I acknowledge religious prejudice towards jews is very real, and it is undeserved. Israel is not the same as Jewish and while Israel should be ashamed of itself Jews are generally wonderful loving people. It makes me sad when people equate what a government does with what its people do, or in your case worse since your not even Israeli.

Anyway, I wish you the best and sorry you have had to deal with this.

@FeministGreens

I suspect there is a lot more than that to be honest... but yea, very sad fact, thanks for sharing.

> And weasel is not a nice thing to say in this context.

Why not? Saying a particular claim can be weasled out by all parties discussing it (including myself) is in no way rude, not sure why you would think that.

@silentLurker

@sergeant Is it thought? The success of a game isnt determined by how well the NPCs (everyone else) plays, it is determined by how the player (me) plays :)

> I suggest other economies as we are all jointly pretending covid is over. A variety of governmental approaches were taken to dealing with that crisis. Seemed to me that a comparison might be indicative, at least partially, of how the respective governments and their leaders choices performed.

I may have misunderstood the comparison you were suggesting. IF what you mean is to look at Biden's metrics, such as the 20% increase in unemployment and see if they are on par with, or worse than other countries change in unemployment during the same period... then yes, that would be useful.

Lets do that shall we?

Biden 2020 to present: ~20% increase in unemployment.

UK 2020 to present: ~20% **decrease**

Europe 202 to present: ~25% **decrease**

Canada 2020 to present: ~35% **decrease**

So now that we did the numbers your way and you see biden still did a **horrible** job on that metric does that mean you are willing to admit you were wrong about that metric? Or will finding out your wrong cause you to double down? I'll wait to see before I decide to take this exercise further....

@Gbudd @volkris

The only reason I am 100% convinced the universe is a simulation and you are all NPCs is because there is no fucking way a species could be this fucking idiotic and self-destructive and still actually survived this long.

> Now why on earth would you ask me to cite a source you then discount for credibility?
> Seems a fools errand.

Because your goal shouldnt be to win an argument, it should be to exam the truth together. The fact that you think it has less value because it might be debunked is exactly the problem, the idea that some information you provide might be debunked should make you more eager to share it, not less.

> How about you figure out what to compare our economy to, so we understand what is being compared?

We know quite well what to compare it to. We compare it to itself at an earlier point if we are looking to see if someone or something is improving it or not.

> I’d suggest the ten other largest economies maybe. Or only five.

Why would we do that, it has no relevance to the question at hand. That wouldnt tell you if Biden has improved the economy or hurt it.

> And you skipped all the rest of the things I cited…

You mean the one and only line i didnt directly address? Because those are highly subjective, lack good metrics to evaluate, and are overall a mixed bag, he improved some things and made others much worse. So there didnt seem to be much value hashing that out since it was the only one of your metrics that could be weasled out of due to lack of any objective metric.

> I do know the Fed even gave up and admitted that inflation is mainly being driven out of four sector

1) please cite where the fed said this
2) The fed is probably the least reliable source for this information as they are directly motivated to convince people that the governments control over money is not to blame for inflation.
3) I am not claiming biden is to blame for any particular metric, things are not that simple.. but if you are going to argue he created a great economy, that is clearly not the case. So while I wont say he is to blame for a bad economy I will absolutely object if someone claims he is to blame for a good economy, because its quite clear the economy has gotten worse, not better.

I just discovered this awesome package to .

Someone is getting some snazzy lectures ready for next week...

@nicolaromano I have done similar stuff with over and under brackets, but its very bugy. this looks much nicer love it! Sadly I doubt mathjax supports it though but ill check.

@web3isgreat I am all for the truly crooked exchanges being held accountable.. in this case I do hope kraken wins, the SEC crossed the line and kraken pushed back, im all for it.

@Gina If it worked it sounds delicious... but as a person with a passing interest in physics I have some questions :)

@Gina

What makes it a hack? looks tasty but I feel like the chocolate will stop the tea from soaking in.

@futurebird Yea he could kinda do Musk I think. I see a very slight resemblance.
