@freemo # 4 Ways to Stop
is a common problem that can make it difficult to reach our goals and accomplish tasks. Fortunately, there are steps that we can take to make it easier to stay on track. Here are four ways to help you stop procrastinating.
First, set yourself up for success by breaking up large tasks into smaller, more manageable chunks. This will help you to stay focused and motivated, and make it easier to track your progress. It also helps to set realistic goals and reward yourself for meeting them.
Second, create a schedule and stick to it. Scheduling out your day and blocking off specific times for tasks can help to keep you on track and prevent procrastination. It is also important to make sure that you are taking regular breaks to avoid burnout.
Third, remove distractions. This can include anything from social media notifications to phone calls. By reducing the number of distractions, you'll be able to stay focused on the task at hand and avoid the temptation to procrastinate.
Finally, stay motivated. Procrastination can be a hard habit to break, so it is important to stay positive and remind yourself of why you are doing the task. If you find yourself getting overwhelmed, take a step back and remember why you are doing the task in the first place.
By following these steps, you can help to reduce procrastination and stay on track towards achieving your goals. With a little bit of effort and dedication, you can make it easier to stay focused and stay motivated.

In this two part toot on procrastination, as a fellow procratanator I want to help everyone by listing the 4 ways to help you stop procrastinating....

If you are going to troll try a bit more subtlety.

@futurebird as someone who loves flex ordering a custom 912 from nibs.com is habd down the best pen youbwill ever write with in the flex department. The mortishaw falcon is a xclse second.

If you can afford the extra 100 for the customization and flex is sonething you want you wont regret it.

@futurebird it has more flex, softer... best choice for a modern flex writer modified or not. The falcon has some fkex too and id say is the second best in that category. If i wasnt on slight flex with a smoother casual writing id go falcon unmodified. If you want a pen that has amazibg flex and focused more o caligraphy id get a modified 912.

The 912 in the post i linked is modified, the falcom wasnt.

@futurebird

Majohn mini will have a similar nib as the moonman.

Here is a link showing off my three best writers (though the middle one ive replaced with the same brand but now custom ground)

qoto.org/@freemo/1028355391718

Have you tried the heritage 912. One of the other best modern flex nibs imo, also worth getti g custo. Groubd to needlepoint.

@peterdrake

@futurebird @peterdrake Not having a business pen look really narrows it down... moonman is small, but its an eyedropper pen and stiff niv, also not too pricy.

The pilor falcons are by far the best modern writer if you want some flex. The resin ones are ligbt but sadly you might find it a bit too large and or executive looking. However if you get a custom grinding on a pilot falcon then it really will do flex like no other foubtain pen, at least a modern one.

The mont blanc pens are probably too executive looking but there is a lot of variety in style...also probably too big...

Majohn mini is super small and light, unique look, not a horrible writer, but on the cheaper end of the scale. Same brand as moonman just might be closer to your style.

So many choices... i carry 12 fou tain pens on me most of the time so clearly i cant settle

@peterdrake @futurebird

Indeed this is my thing!

Hard nib or flexible nib? Antique or modern? Price range?

@mnl

I have a custom ground nib but otherwise basically this model... its on the larger side but not too heavy. Wonderful if she is lookibg for a somewhat flexy nib.

@futurebird

@voidabyss

Fair.. I guess its somewhat comforting knowing its just someone trying to troll as opposed to someone who legitimately would just spew toxicity simply because someone said "masks work but they wont fix the problem alone", more or less.

@a_cup_of_sugar

@volkris

Look im all for articles being objective and all.. but man you are **really** pushing it with this.. the article is written 2 years after, so there is, in fact, no doubt joe biden has won. There is also no doubt the capital was stormed... But that sounds like a really weird quote to focus on, if its the best example you have its pretty weak.

@philip_cardella @hc_richardson

@pieist

Fair. Obviously QOTO is STEM, so we arent limited to tech. In fact we probably have more people in the "S" category than the "TEM" category.

That said there are tons of nice knowledge based instances depending on what your after... for tech you have fosstodon which I think is pretty large.

@trinsec

@rudyschwartz@dobbs.town @freemo
I live in Portland, OR. Whenever I talk to my mum in New England she asks me about the terrible riots and murder-death-kill happening all around me. I tell her it's one side of one block in downtown, one night a week, when both the Patriot Prayer MAGAs and the news cameras show up at the same time, and hasn't happened at all for like a couple of years. Finally she gets frustrated with me and says "you're the only person I know who says that." I reply, "I'm the only person you know who lives here."

@trinsec

As trinsec points out, without further clarification... here... Are you asking for QOTO alternatives in general, or something that isnt exactly STEM based?

@pieist

@threalist no it isnt his lack of explanation, it is the absolute absurdity of his arguments. Usually complete fabricated and uneducated by generally in line with some aprty line (like thinking global warming doesnt exist or other ludacris shit like Obama's birth certificate stuff)

@unit13

Hahaha, I could not have asked for a better response to prove my original post... really, thank you.

@obi

@rudyschwartz@dobbs.town @freemo my city once totally asploded because of lack of nuance. You need 50mg nuance/day really if you don't want your city to asplode and catch fire and be all librul

@rudyschwartz@dobbs.town It was more an example of general absolutism than one specific to science., so perhaps not the best example.
