@trinsec no, the sirens didnt actually go off... just some really loud and shocking thuds is all.

Holy fuck that last bomb was close.... the whole building shook!

@trinsec I will probably be fine... so far they avent hit locally and no sirens went off locally (the sirens are very localized to where they will hit).. But every 30 seconds or so you hear a "thud", sometimes quite a ways away but still scary

All day there have been explosions from missiles going off overhead... the shockwave shakes the walls... Its some crazy shit.... kinda surreal being in effectively a war zone with everyone going about their business as if it wasnt even happening.

Its probably more so in modern times, but we always gave kids an exception... the only thing that changed was the age.

When a baby bites a womans nipple no one cares, when a grown ass adult does it no one will excuse it... there is some age where we accept behaviors we wouldnt from adults... the line moves, but there is always a line.

@philip_cardella Yea you can be sworn in anywhere technically... in writing its even fairly automatic when you sign something..

@kegill Possibly.. i mean their reluctance to reduce the defense budget is an issue. That said they could gut social programs and potentially balance it with tax cuts, so that is legit... though its an idiotic way to balance it IMO.

Ehh if they have the votes thry arent a minority by definition, though i do see what you mean (since they are very slightly less than 50% in the general population and by popular vote).

They are simply voting for their agenda, blindly and without consideration for the bigger picture... just like democrats they just do it from tbe other side with different agendas.
