And yes the conversation progressed from starting to be about his mental health.. then about his quality as a politician, then about an apology, and yes what you claimed was an apology wasnt one, and not just for lack of sincerety, but because he framed it to sound like he was forced into it when he wasnt, which makes it a disgusting excuse and a lie, not an apology.
