@realcaseyrollins 10 years ago this would have just been absurd... now it is pretty much the defacto standard when it comes to any discourse on the internet.

In pa we have immediate access to guns, i dont see the world falling apart.

Its hardly extreme in my eyes, most first time buys as adults are in a threatening situation. Unless you were raised on guns you usually have an immediate need.

I myself have expiernced this, i was in direct danger of murder and needed a gub immediately. Just letting me die because some people may not need it seems like a stretch.

No licensing and requiring permission to conceal carry is bad in my opinion. It acts as a barrier against someone potentially saving their own life.

I often consider the scenario of a woman who broke uo with an ex and is being stalked or threatened. Ot having immediate access to a gun can easily cost her her life.

Why does america have the right to bear arms but not the right to the arms of other animals?

@Romaq This gets me a lot... like i beleive in their intent, but they make such a dishonest argument to get there i just cant get on board... then when i correct them but say i agree with intent, now im a nazi and sealioning... its such a shitshow out tbere.

Man the rhetoric on the fediverse gets soooo tiring... why does everything need to be exagerated beyond all reality... the reality is horrible enough, there is no need!

@olives I dont mind a strong border, though its not a priority for me... a lot of that is very concerning i agree.

@strawd I do, and if it is awful that woukd be a deal breaker for me for sure. LGBTQ rights are at least as importsnt, probably more so, to me than gun rights.

Sadly its hard to find supporters of gun rights that have other good principles i support... but i fear the pressure to violate gun rights is getting too strong to not have it be a factor for me.
