@Baley Most of the time thats what i do... only time i block is when the noise drowns out the signal.
Hahah my purpose was to exemplify the fact that morality, especially in the face of people dying, cant be reduce to a set of rules (no matter how complex)... It is a subtle matter with no real objective answers.
The answer would need the context of what was happening in the episode. I gave you a link to the synopsis of the episode. Once you read it we can discuss what the answer might be in that scenario if you'd like.
Laira: I mourned my husband for a hundred days. I never left my house, I never spoke to anyone.
O'Neail: After that?
Laira: I left my house, and I spoke to people.
-- Stargate SG-1
Data : Would you choose one life over one thousand, sir?
Picard : I refuse to let arithmetic decide questions like that.
-- Star Trek (I think TNG)
Guess
@cobratbq Oh dont worry ill be spitting out plenty as I watch the series again
Guess
@cobratbq I love the mix of seriousness and self-depraving humor.. its a good mix.
Guess
@cobratbq I like all the episodes with advanced aliens :)
Guess
@cobratbq yup thats the one!
Guess
Yup, thats the one. Season 3, episode 15 I think.
@admitsWrongIfProven Yea I heard about that when it happened.
Ahh the famous Ursidae's Divide!
@admitsWrongIfProven Finally, I was tired of all the prejudice towards sighted people in that subreddit!
@admitsWrongIfProven I cant even begin to fathom what they were thinking here as I dont even understand what or why it is trying to do.
@trinsec had the closest reasonable guess I heard of, its meant to be confusing to keep senile people in or something. But if thats the case its a really stupid design as even senile people can be lucid and this only works because **no one** can understand it;

@freemo I must admit... i did see this before, and the thought is not my own. But i think it is worthy of being carried on.
Whenever there is stupid tech made to the specification of someone that sees themselves as a "boss", think what it means to blind, deaf or otherwise disadvantaged people.
We might have some time until it hits us, but this decline is happening, and it will hit.
@admitsWrongIfProven it also doesnt help that the picture has very different buttom configuration... the more I look at this the more confused I get.
@admitsWrongIfProven I did not... shocker.
