In all seriousness the red color is caused by Rayleigh scattering, and this cool effect is just the red color falling ont he underside of the clouds as the sun sets.

@nilikm What exactly would you want from politicians? Other than investing in vaccine research I'm not sure they could do all that much. Even then im not sure there is much else they could really do.

I am in the process of migrating the #QOTO nextcloud server from our smaller mysql database to our beast of a postgresql database. This should save us some money since I can retire the mysql database and should significantly improve performance. The nextcloud will be down intermittently while I upgrade but should be back up in the next 30 minutes or so.

A little #Ruby gem I just published that allows you to create true abstract classes and methods in Ruby. Basically throws an error at instantiation / creation of an abstract class if abstract methods arent implemented.

While there are a few gems that allow you to create abstract classes and methods all of the ones i found just cause abstract methods to throw errors when called if not implemented. This solution actually throws an error when you attempt to create the class itself, so it is fail-fast and more in line with the spirit of an abstract method.

@trinsec Yea me too... its a weird sort of pain.. it makes me grunt when i feel it rather than go "ow"... the strangeness i think is why it hurts so much, my brain cant process it normal.

I have a smapp patch on my leg where I cant feel too well due to my spinal injury. Like I can feel maybe 10% in that area, feels kinda like when a limb falls asleep and you have some feeling but its like pins and needles.. like that but all the time.

Anyway I have a sore there, I think from a bug bite. And you would think with 90% feeling loss it would hurt less... but my got its excruciating... Feels like someone is stabbing me very sharply but only every 30 seconds then it goes away... Weird how loosing feeling can actually make things more painful not less.

You can call C from any high level language. The difference is the varrier in python is very low, in java it is very high. Moreover in java it is a very expensive operation to cross the barrier from native to jvm unlike in python.
