@thor FOSS is a bit of a drama magnet.. but in a weird way. They, in the past, have been anti-pc and that often has brought them under the spotlight now that everyone is hyper-pc. That said we have had our own internal flame wars.. and the people in tech can be quite rude too sometimes. They arent exactly the people with the most social skills.

@changeling Oh is this a product exclusively for blind people... ok that makes sense.

@thor Linux was built for two reasons 1) so my computer works... 2) so i can argue with other people about which distro is the best :)

@thor

I think a LOT of people are just dramatic/toxic/annoying to get a reaction cause their bored.. some are aware of it, others arent. Its almost automatic for most people.

Im not sure why but i see far fewer people engaged in serious projects.. even the few examples of people who are they still seem to get involved in high-drama projects (like politics or activism).

@changeling

Thats so odd how they dont even have a picture of their product up... who sells a physical mass produced product and doesnt even have a picture of it?

Some older astrophotography I did of the Moon when it was nearly full. Still one of my favorite moon photos.

@thor It makes me happy to know that you know I care, thanks for that.

@thor Sounds like you are on the right track. Fixes are rare, best you can hope for is just taking a step in the right direction.

A carbine is not a full auto...

A carbine is a rifle, any rifle, with a shortened barrel from its original design. Usually a carbine is a reference to a "Pistol Caliber Carbine" which is a carbine which shoots pistol ammo.

Carbines may be lever-action (not fully or semi auto), semi or full auto.. But generally a carbine refers to non-full-auto

A submachine is a fully-automatic carbine, thus why carbine is usually reserved for non-full auto.

All that said you will almost **never** find civilians or police (even swat or the high-end cops) ever using a full auto gun. They wont even have burst fire. They usually use PCC or a full blown rifle.

They use AR-15 alot but remember an AR-15 is **not** an automatic weapon, it is a semi-automatic weapon.

@olives

@olives wait... cops in the USA dont even carry sub machine guns (fully-automatic guns of any kind actually)... I am quite surprised to hear in the UK they carry these casually. My guess is they are using the term wrong and they mean a carbine.
