I wonder if liberals realize the only reason Trump is likely to be on the presidential ballot again is because they spent the last 4 years talking about an irrelevant asshat and ensuring he remained relevant and a talking point this long.

The thing is, I have no doubt biden knew, because up against almost anyone other than Trump he would have lost hands down. He almost needs Trump to win the primaries for him to even have a chance. After all he built his whole career on being marginally more appealing than Trump.

@Clementulus If you choose to live in an area with the sort of population and advancement from 70+ years ago you'd be in a highly undeveloped area. That would cost you 1,000$ on the low end in the USA. The land can be very affordable, again, if your willing to live like they did 70+ years ago.

@admitsWrongIfProven The point is if you buy a home at 1950s standards it would be a "fixer upper" by todays standard.. Most could afford a home if they bought a 1950s style home in a 1950s style neighboorhood.

My friend has a daughter and if you ask her "What religion are you?" She answers "Jewish and Christmas"... so cute.

@eselet We open up all our ports and post our passwords on the front page of our website. That way anyone who tries to hack us will think no one could be sttupid enough to do that so they will try every way to hack us except the actual passwords.

@Clementulus its not about "buying more stuff along with our houses".. it is about function/utility and wealth. Our houses are built with more wealth (utility to a function) than ever before. The technology, and the function it brings, in our insulation, themostats, AC, appliances, wood treatments, security systems, glass on our windows, etc is worth a huge amount.

The fact is a modern home provides things a 50s home would not even be possible.

@AmpBenzScientist

In the dark and close up I am superior yea, but i dont have superior dark vision in general.

Talking about French language

@freemo It's purposefully made this way. French used to be an inclusive and much simpler language, but the issue with having white dudes with huge ego and an hypocritically elitist-mindset running the country for centuries, that's pretty much what we get. That's mostly because of how wrongfully interpreted our old literature is. We have a bunch of memes showing the difference between the meaning of books, poems and theater scripts given by "scholars" and the meaning theorized by actual book writers and historians.

But that's a whole debate that could go on for ages, even french people don't know what they want. Sometimes, there are people debating for weeks about whether we should remove a letter from a word or not, some people arguing that it would make the word easier to learn for people who aren't native speakers as well as making it more easily understandable, while others would argue that it's "denaturing our language" (which is such a dumb take, knowing that the whole purpose of a language is to help people communicate as well as being adapted to usages in society and better convey whatever idea or emotion has to be exchanged, explained or formulated in order for people to understand each other).

@thor Thats probably the most legit reaction anyone could have... its just a bunch of people committing war crimes back and froth and then wording why the side they just committed a war crime on is committed a war crime on them...

@AmpBenzScientist I mean more so if you count that, but hardly needs to be considered. The cost to get the same functionality in the 50s would be astronomical even with 50s tech... more so if you magically had a microchip.

If you built a modern thermostat in the 50's your themostate would literally need its own home.

@wasabi HA! I bet. I actually dont find the french language too sexy... I find it to be unnecessarily complicated, it feels archaic, even more so than latin to me.

@wasabi French people sound sexy, brits sound professional, americans sound like they dont care how they sound :)

Brits are the only ones who will go "its not odor it is odour" and sound fancy as hell
