@kilroy_was_here

I use mine mostly as just an ebook reader and i dont really even highlight textbooks too often.

That said i do intend to do some minor productivity stuff like writing and emails (which is why i bought the keyboard case).

@kilroy_was_here

I havent played with that feature myself but im pretty sure its supported. I can double check for ya if you decide your interested.

@bonifartius

I go through text books like most people go through fiction books. People seem so surprised how many subjects I know, if someone doesnt know me they may even think im a liar... but I tend to finish about a text book a week for 20 some years now.

@kilroy_was_here

If you just want an ereader its overpriced.

Also keep in mind the digitizer has noticable lag on non-boox note/drawing apps.

Other than those two issues im happy with this one so far and my last one (already listed my issues with my last one which was first gen and fairly old by now)

@michaelk@mas.to The danger it poses for a human (prion diseases) are the same it poses for a dog. I'd be concerned with how it might be used.

@hikerfromva Hiking in the snow can be a lot of fun if your prepared for it. Its the sleeping in the snow that is brutal :)

@hikerfromva Nice, must be getting a bit cold lately for that though. Stay warm :)

@OGjester Cant say I agree.. Those people may not know he is a nazi. If they do they may very well be trying to set them straight and try to make them see the error of their ways.

This nonsense about guilt by association has no place in a society that strives to eliminate evil.

@Vincarsi If that was a universal definition I would agree. As I shared earlier the definitions from advocacy groups have clearly stated Queer does not have a shared definition and that members of the community define it in contradictory ways at times.

Ergo it has no utility as it doesnt have a consistent and useful definition.

For example many of the community feel Queer is an offensive term, others do not. That discrepancy alone is a good enough reason to seek a more neutral and descriptive term.

@badken I shared, this is my second time... Same place your data comes from. It is published by the US governement. I literally said it was the same data as what you first posted.

The irony that they are using th eminority card to justify prejudice against a minotiry.. clearly you are right and they dont do their research before judging.

Looks like something a transphobe would post...

Sadly I suspect its a read-only account and I doubt they care anyway.

@admin

@admin thanks for the notice... very strange as I've been a pretty vocal trans ally, but do as you wish.

If you have any posts feel free to share them.

@realcaseyrollins

Mystery solved, it seems it is kolektiva servers to blame. Sounds like someone needs to get a better instance.

The arrow is a standard for a few reasons.

1) It is the standard across many formats such as email and markdown

2) Much of the fediverse supports markdown so unless your on a archaic server it should display as a nice quote box rendering and not as the > symbol.

> (Freemo, I had to go to realcaseyrollins' profile to find the toot that you're quoting, as it did not show when I clicked on the original post. Orphan toots seem to be happening a lot lately just like on twitter in the bad old good days. Could be due to mutes, blocks, defederations or other reasons.)

Could be a few reasons. Either your server doesnt support edits of posts properly or people are blocking/deleting posts.
