Not sure if I should cry or laugh.

In all seriousness though the idea that the past was better financially is objectively false. If you are willing to live by older safety standards and quality then you can live as affordably as you could in the past. Most of us dont want to live like we did in the 1920s though.

While its very unlikely (but very possible) my dream in life would be to witness a supernova.

Last time one was bright enough to see with the naked eye was about 400 years ago. So my chances are slim.

Interesting side note, a supernova is the fastest moving stellar event we can see with our naked eye that we know of. It starts and ends (usually resulting in a nebula) over the course of just weeks to months. Could you imagine seeing a bright light form in the sky out of nowhere, last for months, and then in the end have a beautiful new nebula in its place... my god that would be so cool!

Putin's actions have shown in no uncertain terms he is not an honest man, despite what the state lead propaganda machine might claim.

@louis

@freemo No, no "naval" means warships. I wonder how big a stethoscope he needs to check a battleship's pulse...

Me: What do you do for a living?

Someone: I am a Naval doctor.

Me: Oh wow, I didnt know belly buttons had their own doctors!

@marathon

While I'm pretty sure your right, we create more than enough strife on our own... I do think he has every intention of fanning the flames.

@rivetgeek

A supernova takes course over only several weeks to a few months. So very very short time indeed by stellar standards.

> I just hope that, whoever will be elected this year, will bring America into a better state than it is now and unify people.

It is good to hear you are rooting for a third party candidate :)

> I don't live in the US, but I traveled there a lot for business and pleasure for many years. Route 66 and all that. But that was many years ago and I really want to go back there and show my kids all these great people, diversity and landscape that the US has to offer. I hope that will be possible at sometime in the future.

Its got a lot of beautiful land, and some of its older principles were admirable.. but my god the people are just absolute shit here. It is pretty much just a country-wide insane asylum at this point.

@cqd_sos

Thts interesting since Universeodon recently suspended our whole server in retaliation for me calling our their new moderator for abusive practices. So wouldnt have expected my replies to show.

@georgetakei

@LouisIngenthron I've seen some similar stuff and yea ive considered the same. Right now i have an open-air computer that is nice but nothing too spectacular in terms of looks.

@cqd_sos

I'm curious, did you see my reply on Takei's post directly, or from my page or something?
