I am truly amazed at the number of applicants I have seen off of this single post. And almost all are well suited candidates worth my time to review. I am astonished that a single post on the fedi is more effective than actually hiring a recruiter. Thank you everyone for the boosts and applications.
While many applicants have made it through and are currently being hired because we have so many positions we have quite a few still available for every level from sr to jr, and both data scientists and programmers. So please keep boosting, sharing, and applying if anyone is interested.
Just a reminder this is 100% remote, no fixed hours, will pay market rates for position. I will be your direct boss and hiring manager (also owner, founder, and inventor of the tech).

Here's a rookie mistake I made with my dog after not having one for over 20 years:
When I was first training Miles, I made my voices different for correction and praise. My correction voice is close to my normal voice, but sterner. My praise voice is a ridiculous baby voice with lots of lilting and happy sounds -- which is fake and exhausting.
I figured that by age 2 I would be able to forgo the baby voice.
I COULD NOT BE MORE WRONG. I'm stuck with the baby voice now. 🤦🏽
Oh shit it gets better.. the cop goes "Sir, put your hands behind your back" again and the guy then goes "Dont sir me, You're sir!" and the cop goes "yea exactly" and the other guy goes "wait...." .... lolololol
While I know there are plenty of examples of land, particularly historically, being bought and sold to other countries. Like Alaska was bought from Russia, the US Virgin Islands from the Dutch, etc. But is there any examples, particularly in semi-modern history, of an **individual** buying sovereignty over a piece of land from another nation? I mean why should the country care who they sell to as long as they get the money.
I figure the hard part would be defending the land as a single owner. Of course in practice im not sure countries sell land all to often these days.
Well thats some accidental irony for you.
GPG/PGP tip: When trust-signing company keys, either from another company key or a personal key, sign it so you trust the whole company, not just the individual key. To do this use tsign and select a depth of 2 with a domain restriction that matches the company's domain. This will cause you to automatically trust all employees of the company that are trusted by the company's master key and verified without you needing to set the trust individually or verify individual identities.
> Do you want to make a baby, fund a childhood till adulthood for 18+ years or is that not your responsibility?
There are far too many starving and homeless children for that to be a morally justified choice. I would love a child, but ethics would never allow me to do that. That said I do intend to adopt.
> You are a man.
Am I? Why are you telling me what kind of genitals I have. Stop making this rude and awkward.
> You have no say and no decision if an "unborn child deserves a chance at life too".
I mean I explicitly stated I support abortion **despite** any apparent right of the unborn child. So now your upset that I support abortion? What idiocy is this.
More importantly, regardless of what genitals I have, I like everyone was once a fetus. So as a person (like all people) who would have been directly effected by any abortion laws obviously I have a right to have an opinion.
TIL you can literally drink pure Phosphoric Acid and it wont destroy your mouth. I mean i knew it wasnt the strongest of acids but I didnt realize how weak it was.
I found this out because a vitamin I bought is 95% water and 5% pure phosphoric acid. i put a few drops out and let the water evaporate then licked it and to my surprise it was tart but didnt burn. Should have been close to 85% pure after the bulk of the water evaporated.
> let me guess you were wearing shield protectors and ffp3 mask?
We actually use N95 in the lab
> That's way beyond what an average teenager will wear. The average teenager, if forced, will wear ffp2 masks (because these are the most common) and ... probably the same multiple times.
Exactly, they have bodily autonomy. They can wear protection or not, thats their choice their body. If they choose not to wear protection thats on them. It is not my responsibility to habe my bodily autonomy infringed on simply because some other people are too lazy to wear appropriate protection. Doesnt work that way. You wear whatever level of protection you want, worry about yourself, you are more than capable of protecting yourself regardless of my choices with my body.
> No, it's not "my fault" if I am an average person that buys an average mask from an average shop.
Just like its not my fault if im an average person and does what average people do, and not wear a mask at all.
> People with covid symptoms should just wear a mask.
See now you just moved the goal post, now your not talking about requiring masks of the general public but only people with symptoms. Despite the goal post being moved this is still a horrible take. Anyone with COVID should remain indoors, its the polite thing to do for sure. But since the overwhelming majority of people who get COVID are asymptomatic and never know they have COVID that will do little good regardless.
