We just fixed Latex Math based rendering on the discourse server ( discourse.qoto.org )

You can now insert Latex based math into your posts on Discourse in the same way you can on the QOTO mastodon server!

This is the last major bug we have observed across all the new QOTO services we brought up this month. We will keep an eye on things but everything appears fully functional now!

My name is Thunderwing Matrix. Not my real name, obviously; taken from the Transformers Decepticon character Thunderwing, especially the Marvel Comics version where he is one of the few Transformers that can directly wield the power of the Creation Matrix, the life force of the Transformers' creator, Primus.

I work in payment processing, My mom lives with me & I take care of her. I live in Las Vegas, NV and have watched the city grow and change over about 40 years, for better and for worse. I rarely gamble but do some sightseeing on the Strip on a semi-regular basis.

I used to watch pro wrestling frequently, but now only occasionally pay attention to it. I don't consider myself conservative, liberal or libertarian politically as my views don't fit neatly into any one of these 3 imaginary boxes. I am a Christian, though think some parts of the Bible should be taken metaphorically instead of literally, like the story of God's creation of the world. I hope Qoto for many years!

What other services would you like to see hosted free on ?

The source code link in the footer did not update in our last code update as expected. The issue has since been fixed in the source code and will be applied in the next version bump.

In the meantime if anyone wants access to the QOTO's variant of the mastodon source code it can be found here:

Having all fresh and updated with some cleaner CSS feels like taking a shower after a week long camping trip. It feels clean again!

Thank you to @freemo. These are very nice protoboards. Looking forward to playing with them.

I have a 20m WSPR RPi hat from TAPR. Thinking about making a 40m hat with one of these.

Freemo is...

just updated our about page. There is some very important information in there so I highly recommend all QOTO users read the updated page.

We updated the wording on our Rules (same rules as before though effectively), added information on our added features and how to use them, links to the various QOTO services we offer (like FunkWhale or NextCloud).

It also contains a short introductory letter/guide on getting started using QOTO. I hope it will be a huge help for many of you. The link is below.

I would like to follow my professor profile on instagram. Also, there are a couple of twitter accounts I like, and some places on facebook that only post there their events.

I could do an account for each of the places I'd like to get info from but frankly, beside the hassle, it would be time consuming to just go in every website every time to check.

Ah, if there only was a technology that allowed us to, oh I don't know, "aggregate" the news... so that I get something like a notification when something happens, and it could even download the content.

Oh, that would be so nice, I'm sure everybody would use it.

Another math joke to show off 's math rendering. Feel free to share your own jokes!

Remember Sex is fun, its the law!

Let \(f(a) = \sqrt[n]{e^x}\)

\[
\lim_{t\rightarrow\infty} f(a) - \frac{i}{f(t)} = \frac{d}{dx} f(u) \\
\lim_{t\rightarrow\infty} f(a) - \frac{i}{\infty} = \frac{d}{dx} f(u) \\
\lim_{t\rightarrow\infty} f(a) - 0 = \frac{d}{dx} f(u)
\]

Then

\[
\sqrt[n]{e^x} = \frac{d}{dx} f(u) \\
(\sqrt[n]{e^x})^n = \frac{d}{dx} f(u)^n \\
e^x = \frac{d}{dx} f(u)^n \\
\int e^x = f(u)^n
\]
