#introductions I'm an ecologist with broader interests in #NaturalHistory, #Evolution, #Biodiversity. I care about how we know as well as what we know; #PhilosophyOfScience and #Epistemology matter. My prefered inferential framework is Bayesian hierarchical modeling. I'd rather be outside, but I'm also a computer nerd and a fan of #FOSS. I left Facebook for privacy, but I miss the connections with friends it maintained. Hoping I can convince some of them to join me in the Fediverse.

My god this boy has all of my sympathy. I dont even know what to say, this made me emotional to watch.
Lets do a little recap on what our Democrat candidates look like this year:
Biden:
* voted against desegregation efforts siding with segregationists
* Has lied profusely both about his education, and qualifications
* Touched women inappropriately on stage sometimes going so far as to hold their arm so they cant get away as they squirm
* Has dementia quickly progressing to late stage
* Is rich (a quality liberals usually dont like)
* is white
* is a man
Kamalia
* Horrible record on black rights
* Is a cop who has arrested countless blacks for nonviolent crimes (not to mention cops are hated)
* Was chosen not for her qualifications but her sex and color
* Has put countless women in physical danger through her work on SESTA/FOSTA
* Has a horrible record passing abusive laws on women, specifically sex workers.
* Has a horrible record when it comes to trans rights denying them access to their medications when jailed
* Has a horrible record in allowing parents the right to home school going so far as to forcing parents to be jailed.
We arent just talking about candidates that have a few bad marks on their name. we are talking about a horrible set of candidates who have done more combined to set back the cause of black's and women in america than Trump even comes close to doing... They are a disgrace and worse yet, they are a recipe for a losing election as almost every point on that list is important to most liberals and swing voters who might otherwise lean democrat. Literally the only vote she might get is a few blacks who vote based on color, but for the most part they already lost the election as far as I can tell.

Democrats are the party who hate rich old white men and cops, whose presidential candidate and his running mate are a rich old white man and a cop.
Democrats are the party of Black Lives Matter whose presidential candidate and running mate are together responsible for the passing of more laws and legislation directly and indirectly responsible for ending more black lives -- by murder, imprisonment, inescapable poverty... -- than probably every other politician combined.
Lets not forget she is a cop too...

This has been my dream pen for years and I **finally** just bought one on ebay! And the #7 doric nib (adjustable) too.. From what I could tell the #7 are the best because their bigger and as such has a wider range of adjustments. Plus they are all guaranteed wet noodles

Omg the sheen even comes up on my needlepoint modified spencerian pen. I have never been able to get an ink to sheen with this pen before!
This ink is teal base with red sheen but the teal is so dark its almost black. So depending on thr angle you hold the paper it looks like its black or a reflective reddish.
I think i officially have a new favorite ink brand!

I love it. The protestors thought they had a right to block this guys travel, as a result he got his bike trashed and he didnt hurt anyone (thankfully).. this guy is a hero! Considering all the videos I've seen of people trying to drive slowly through crowds getting their car trashed I'd say this guy is completely justified, even if it may have potentially injured a protestor (thankfully it didnt)
If we had a vaccine that was shown to be safe as many other vaccines are, then I'd be the first to say your an idiot if you dont get it.
With that said, forcing this or **any** vaccine as a matter of law, no fucking way. If I heard they were going to require vaccines by law I would refuse the vaccine out of spite at that point.
Pick your champion. These are my three favorite pens below a small writing sample. Which do you like the most?
The top one is a Waterman 52 with a flexible italic nib. This particular pen was purchased in 1899 and is 121 years old!
The middle pen is a new Pilot Custom 912 with FA nib and hand modified, the nib was ground to a needlepoint and extra flex was added.
The last one is a franken pen I built. It has a flexible nib from another Waterman 52, this one made in 1910 and has an extra fine point. I added to the body of a modern TWSBI Diamond replacing both the nib and the feed. I am using an ebonite feed so it has no trouble keeping up.
