A little gem I just published that allows you to create true abstract classes and methods in Ruby. Basically throws an error at instantiation / creation of an abstract class if abstract methods arent implemented.

While there are a few gems that allow you to create abstract classes and methods all of the ones i found just cause abstract methods to throw errors when called if not implemented. This solution actually throws an error when you attempt to create the class itself, so it is fail-fast and more in line with the spirit of an abstract method.

PS: Probably the first and only project I will ever write with a true 100% code coverage report :)

I have a smapp patch on my leg where I cant feel too well due to my spinal injury. Like I can feel maybe 10% in that area, feels kinda like when a limb falls asleep and you have some feeling but its like pins and needles.. like that but all the time.

Anyway I have a sore there, I think from a bug bite. And you would think with 90% feeling loss it would hurt less... but my got its excruciating... Feels like someone is stabbing me very sharply but only every 30 seconds then it goes away... Weird how loosing feeling can actually make things more painful not less.

@georgetakei Thats a good thing, I wish the democrats would do that to their own more often rather than towing the party line.

Not saying I like McConnell or the GOP.. but being critical of their own is certainly something we need more of not less.

Well I think I finally got to the bottom of why the matrix server has been slow in the past. Now that i have good stats on resources I can better address it... Should have matrix running much smoother soon.

@trinsec

Very interesting waterfall (spectrogram) of a dial up modem connecting. I can even picture where all the sounds come from I remember hearing as a child from the classic dialup connection.

@freemo @sdgathman @LouisIngenthron Indeed. Podman is a great Docker alternative and Kata Containers is a way to run containers in tiny VMs, which is especially great for multi tenant hosts or zero trust environments.

I put dedicated servers in KVM virtual machines. Theoretically could use more memory, but not when vms are running same OS (lots of page sharing). A lot more like a dedicated server than a container.

YAY The got back to me about my application and we will be begining the first steps soon with a discussion! excited!

Hustler 6BTV. Here are pictures of when the old one was installed quite some time ago to give an idea of what it will look like when done:

Facebook: You used a curse word in reference to a violent Nazi, you will be suspended from posting for 1 week

Also Facebook: We reviewed that account you reported of the chick with the enormous breasts who looks exactly like that famous porn star and posts nothing but links to trojan horse viruses. We have determined the account does not violate our community standards.

My old antenna fell down after almost a decade. It performed so well i bought the same brand again and am putting another one back up today. Its quite tall (like 30 or 40 feet or sonething) and requires the whole roof to be covered in radials. This tine im coating the radials with tar to embed them into the roof itself. Quite the project but it will be worth it.

My USB cable arrived and it has got to be one of the best and highest quality USB-c cable I ever owned... decided i needed to buy a few more!

@meadow @apophis @7666 @feinzer @freemo @sorrowl @winter yeah, she banned a .art user who mainly spoke Spanish and barely any english for talking about using GIMP "because it's an ableist slur" and this poor guy didn't even know about it being a slur because it's an English word and wasn't given a chance to explain himself or anything

I just found out my sister died, she passed on June 24th. I dont know the cause of death yet....
