I'll admit that's good but actually does cut it as the literal function of the term or technique...

Might be wrong but literally
"" is much more obvious in a kind of "Keep them busy way"
So while I even forgot the term "scapegoat" and is totally similar, it doesn't have the same perspective at ChewToy like an object brought to your pets or 'animals' to busy themselves with...

"Scapegoat" also has a few perspectives that I think ChewToy clarifies a lot better... scapegoat can be see as someone else's scapegoat, or general scapegoat or used for some reason for someone else's errors or plan... ChewToy seems largely not that and almost a harmless thing to absorb people's energy for what is wrong with this 'thing' in the middle.

"ChewToy" is something (usually someone) thrown out to the public to feel cathartic about attacking. Often the chewtoy is a person, who can personify a set of valid frustrations the people are experiencing. The chewtoy’s role is to soak up as much attention and anger as possible. If it’s a person generally they are safely out of reach from the people to build more and more anger over time.

My comment: Quite interesting and I guess putting a name to this technique makes us realise even more the strategy of putting mostly useless people in front of us as a barrier and passive block to progress.

I suggest we find ourselves instead. But it painful whichever way as it's not the "norm" supplied to us... so don't expect comfort in communication always between the public,,, years of frustration and scamming people... but I think we can do anything if we are constant...

quotes from libresolutions.network/article

- Social media algorithms incentivize specific kinds of engagement to maximize people’s reprogramming of each other. Strong financial incentives are used to shape interactions and transform entire sectors of society in various ways.

....

When it comes to perception control, every drop of prevention is worth an ocean of cure. Because we’re only at the beginning of witnessing these techniques, we can only speculate on the extent of the dangers.

...

Digital currencies are a very powerful system for bootstrapping new technologies, and it is no longer inconceivable that people will be bribed into transforming their body into a test-bed for novel technology.

"the internet of things are asymmetrically advantageous to the technocracy"... Quote

More below from
libresolutions.network/article;

"The Internet of things (IoT) is not so much an agenda, but a consequence of cheap, ubiquitous technology. Much of the engineering, investment, and application has gone directly into making devices better at gathering information. This information is then fed to machine learning algorithms to further “optimize” society.

[picture] eye on thee

This constant data-collection is not benign. There is an agenda to constantly push the boundaries of centralization and control. Most of the opportunities provided by the internet of things are asymmetrically advantageous to the technocracy."

TECH IS NATURALLY NOT-SO TRANSPARENT....

Technology naturally reduces or hides the decision making (both in the making, production, endusers' usage)

Uing is often easier than knowing how it works... the downfall of technology eventually if it matters to you about how / why things are done by other who and how they using it etc...
Technology today is getting less transparent:
-wording, ambiguity and range of meanings
-legality, ambiguity and range of meanings
-origins of the material, ambiguity about factories and how many, the damage they do

For example
- we don't have measurements for how and where all the metals for a motherboard came from, electricity used, countries it came from (we just get a motherboard in the post)

I know I sound like a hater but what you love you don't want to give to the other side so cheaply to bastardise, and you do want people to realise all this stuff EVEN IF YOU PAID FOR IT is costing the planet BIG... so the smaller you go the smaller the BIGTech companies too...

When you meet your idols or people you respect you're sure to see something which surprises you including not liking them totally and wondering how wrong you could have been or how normal-great they are.

I think people accepting and forgiving there things is a good thing:

- the imperfections of others
- inaccuracy in their assumptions
- people's presentation

And doesn't exist (unless it's your own!)...

"if you want a job doing you gotta do it yourself!"

@AntennaPod
I've got time today (and now) if you want to hop in for a quick chat..,

maybe mini interview / quick thing.

It's not a good compliment to say that believing in a whole commercial mainstream system with lots of resources in the world and more finance than any 1 individual is quite the useless system without the will to actually solve things or sort things openly. A big company or even a government is this.
In fact I think believing in 1 person and one by one going through stuff will actually achieve a ore in a more meaningful way than the illusion of being BIG or middle men filtering meaning and rapidly doing the unsoulful.

The vital component in the end is:
THE WILL TO REALLY SOLVE THINGS and looping back towards people in healthy way...

Business aspects like global trade and industrialization DO NOT explicitly lead to evil or black-hearted nature of people- nor destruction of natural resources.

Dead laptop... any ideas / things to try?...

@rberlim yeah good reminder - just finding it hard to search for it but this helps remind me even right after writing this I might do it

If you've ever done some work and realised you have to undo it later or it was wasted, then that's what I think most if not all jobs are doing under bad management (as in overall management too and governments inherently cheating others for themselves). Don't work too fast.

The preference of money quite rightly has reasons (in the wrong way if you scratch the surface)
because:

- doing it yourself is harder / needs more learning / space / time / needs willpower and like babies we might cry at the first hurdle
- asking others involves lowering pride /' accepting need (the other ways mask this a bit more / create distance)
- asking others involves their politics and yours and that's a headache unless you think you're good at arguing and not losing it
- pre-approved ways / government authorised makes it easier for people to by no matter the back story on how government got this approval (by force / faux-legal means / subsidy)
- People are already paying more for things and even paying multiple times, but then are happy to get things 'cheaper' on a shelf
- Long distance resources and people damage are a lot easier to hide when further away then your own country
- Countries or people designing for it don't want people to DIY but earn money and tax them

Lots of genuine reasons why money, both people-related reasons and financial... almost always both... which catches up if you imagine accumilation in what we don't personally practice (planting at bit) or leave personally to others (using petroleum to manage distribution network growing false security or that based on Saudia Arabia oil or wherever, some connected to the dollar, just more bad extensions)

I don't claim we can do it all but anyway together we need to do it all else be divided / flanked

Modern Matrix = Uncaring Numerical & Monetary Design with Uncaring Designers, for the overall aim of uncaring Empires looking for maximising taxation and profit and use it's own tender and currency for Devaluing almost everything artificially using %'s and $elling / Renting People and Planet for Profit.

(please correct or add your own version of how life is just a matrix
if you can do better it in a similar light)
