This ultra-small generator is highly portable and works even with shallow, slow moving water. Already tested with powering street lights, it promises to allow people in the world’s remote regions to generate their own electricity [source, full video: buff.ly/2U6yeEc]

random thought, the "punk" in things like cyberpunk is about having your own agency in spite of world that tries to stop it

@Herr_Irrtum MUSIC PODCAST / MINI SHOW ?

Thinking one particular genre and maybe to get us all talking about what we like... starting from any 2 people who have some tracks of the same genre to show each other.

(video is too heavy for now and for future too heavy for storage for me)

Would be fun to have a friendly chat though about that even and maybe your projects or generally what we're into... could be a mini-show in itself!

This idea of chat could be a podcast that I'm happy to do the basic editing for and show you the result... but it's purely about weaving mutuality in either case.

Basically talking about good music, maybe playing parts of music clips add in after so it's not too long and 50/50 music + chat about music.

Anyway I hope our conversation can get people interested in what they like to hear and also eventually find each other! ! !

Going for freedom or non-corporate style audio chats + some audio between
(let me know what you think).

Also ay artists you know that release their stuff freely? Happy to have a listen...

Thanks (Anyone welcome to reply)

ANYONE WANT FREE STUFF?
Hi are you interested in receiving older PC / laptop things most working or repairs? I'm next door to DE and people drive from here there sometimes so I could ask them to drive it to you at the same time... so you'd just get the box one day or welcome to visit freeschool.0id.org/house

My favourite cartridge for the #c64, the #SuperSnapshot v5 is getting a lot of love recently. I replaced the EEPROM of one of the clones I built with a 128kB specimen and flashed Adrian Gonzales' SnappyROM. Now I can also use it with the #SD2IEC. I also updated my #KungFuFlash to the most recent firmware version which can also load the SnappyROM now. I heard rumors about the ROM for a few years and I am happy that it is finally available for everybody now. #retrocomputing

"If you gave a (YouTube) Creator even one dollar as a donation, that is more than they will make from you watching years of ads on their content. The likelihood that I will ever outearn a one dollar donation from you; even if you've been watching ads since I started the channel in 2012, is slim to none!

If you really like the people you watch, give them a dollar. That is nicer to the Creator than a year of sitting through ads or YouTube Red."

FOSS, open source software, libre

Open source software basically can't be good without the political side of society sorted.

It needs to be funded and projects protected from capitalist intervention.

So basically even a bit of mild social democratic intervention into tech world will go a long way.

@lufthans YES / NO questions

YES / NO questions by systems (or people) might not consider the rest of what's happening or happened...

So "Cancel" in a dialog box for a Y/N question could mean "Cancel this action" or "I'm not sure, go back to what was happening before".

So while a dialog box is a Yes / No question, one can assume the user has more actions and may not even have wanted to get there by closing the window accidents etc or have just changed their mind / remembered they need to something else before this action, so above just this question there is the overall umbrella action or experience of a user which is never limited to just 1 question Yes / No... there are other considerations happening as a user.

Image info shows the picture text so thought it would be good to copy that here as text:
