I help people create audio / edit educational audio / podcast / music / visual short videos / transcript text
+ I like to add a bit humour while being quite strict in my own politics (opinions) but open / inviting for others to tell me what I should do if they can explain more than just a short comment (I don't mind it's healthy for me at least if you have logic and can stand yourself explaining).

Not virtue signalling here only, but practise of EVERYTHING as we go. Judged by getting in contact (many have) and having courage to communicate (or seeking it from others is ok, EVERYONE needs a bit of courage or hand-holding to make big personal changes). Who else is there for example if family doesn't understand?
Learning and watching can be good and staying out of people's way, BUT better is doing something every day and helping each other with some tough decisions / lessons... and then being bold enough to do them. 1... 2... 3 that is all that's needed.

Summary:
█You have everything to some degree here (for example 4 picture maximum but infinite posts)
█It has follow / favourite / boost and federates already here 'out of the box' :) The other external sites things don't have that by default (more 'plugins to buy or setup)
□ Search is possible via hashtags or other search engine ways (Newer versions of Mastodon allows people to search your posts directly but you can search your own stuff for now *instantly* if not and send to people if they need a keyword not tagged). And they will contact you for more info anyway.
█Accepted by almost all browsers / fast
( more stuff I wrote below might be less for you directly but check it out as I would write to most people asking )
So "Short version / TL;DR":
Use what you have here!
All other ways need payment + a bit of tech know-how for little gain aside the shop which you said would be in future later ...
so testing here with what you have here (my arms open and showing the whole Fediverse) and then a shop (which almost has to be separate) can be a further hassle later. The whole integrated site thing may work but at the same time has reasons why it works (money / profit, less money for you).
█Here will prepare you also for later steps if you really need it instead of jumping in the deep end and causing stress, as it's quite similar to Wordpress (but without buying a Host, no setup, no ongoing payments, no SQL database etc or 3rd party things making it deliberate hassle when moving.
█Wix and a lot of free (from past review) makes you pay more as your site gets popular like a kind of bribe or ultimatum model. And last I looked wasn't the best code or editable (could mess everything).
█Anyway always fiddling a bit to always try get it right with sites, when probably you want your pictures out there to do the talking and get out to people fast... and here is in the simplest all-in-1 way

█Some sites already tell me no can't let you see site or for newest browsers only and serious block people or looks like it doesn't work - I just close window sometimes and that's it!

Think FTP / SSH protocols for storage-simplicity with passwords on to stop spam and choose who to share with - changing passwords often.
All this web interface stuff is getting highly gacked and actually used as attack / advertising beacons / tracking etc and switching interface one day so my browser doesn't work with it and hooking up with browser makers to enable ads and new 'features' in their newer versions.
We have it all and had it all before - we just need to stick to those things and accept the peak and balance of politics in further versions / decision-making (especially browsers now).

I've since realised all is highly similar usage in words and in numbers (more than ever as it's domesticated and more learn how to do it like literally everything):
█ (old info, non-info, only updated once, initial estimates, Matryoska puppet data, mixed data types relabelled, blatant lies and mixing to hide/dilute everything etc).
It's like needing to dissect the method they used before running with any number (and now words) as it's used / planned more and more against people down the lines of pushers.

I think similar with 'discount prices' in supermarkets etc as they trap us with the idea of cheapness (and yellow / red stickers visually) with which really aren't discount now (one needs to pay attention to pattern which is one of the ways it works for them as people can't / don't pay attention per product to remembering price increases or have memory capacity to ever work out if deals are that much cheaper)... I once bought a brightly labelled item with repair packaging (assuming it was cheaper) and realised it's the same price.

@plexus Here in Portland we have a long-running non-profit called Free Geek (https://www.freegeek.org/) which:
accepts donations of not only cables but any electronics;
trains people to disassemble, test, and reassemble computers;
handles e-waste recycling for anything that isn't reusable;
distributes usable equipment to individuals and non-profits who need it;
and runs a little thrift store too.
It's fantastic and I would love to see more places clone the idea.
