Hi @freemo, questions about dealing with federation from more commercial entities:

█Can it be possible to continue as it is now and then opt-in from preferences? To switch on per user each as the main thing to do with federating with BlueSky and Thread.net.
Perhaps more will come but these 2 for now since they are especially commercial / less like Mastodon.

An all or nothing switch, started "off" first to continue without being embedded / scraped, and then each user decides to change, not not.

So before more happens with more commercial versions of Mastodon etc (essentially making for hybrid Fediverse perhaps), I would le want to see if those 2 things were possible?

It's amazing how fast a person is online when it's something I or others are doing for you!

This comment is not made negatively - I'm glad for very real reasons but most is laziness or excuses for not wanting to explore the unknown. I measure this by how fast people are (sorry you can't hide this!) and how online and not really busy they are even with concessions about that!)
This is just to show, similar to picture, that actually you do have time, you do squeeze things in and you do see the point... once you have the will or incentive carrot. But sometimes more logic and love needs to be used... almost for halloing worldwide peace to happen (as general as that sounds it comes from smaller working together).

So dear friend or potential friends...

Let all that jazz about being busy be seen as simply a carrot thing... and it's not that I knock that for yourself but the bar can be a bit too low where ONLY you do things for carrots and not when I or others ask for something and just generally giving freely to the universe is not seen as credible or why as reason (which I hope I provide now).

The picture is not to insult you but to say that if you act like an animal (only via carrot) then that is what we become.

Somewhat in crapitalism we have to train ourselves out of capitalism and into the Fediverse as real alternative! for everything!

@barefootstache @invidious Some points there but still overwhelmingly in the favour of us / Invidious / Mastodon doing these things together and it working fine already separately and can be perfected over time as we use it together too (more awareness merging and demand for it).
Invidious does more than the minimum currently so that wins it for me.

█I think the quality of server is something still to steamroller through and to use because there is still a link on every invidious page to the steroided youtube connection. Our more 'small is beautiful' servers are not that bad and lesser for good reasons which are worth also taking into consideration... and even accepting! Because we're not brutal massive farming systems and thus more value in using and promoting). More donations from more usage. Or at least we would see what happens and see how many switch off option and go back to youtube directly if the default when clicking to invidious links or having them replaced (even aesthetically) wasn't acceptable.

█For your user considerations of being different or complicated or scary (if those are the kinds of things you mean) I think it's less the case, because the public would simply click it same as they do now with quite everything else... so a bit of ignorance or even indifference here we can use more for our gain without taking much from them!

If I and most of the Fediverse started to give out these links (and many do already) then it would just be 'normal' (normalised.)

So much is worth a try here and working actually quite perfect right now my end.

Mastodon or any FOSS type things work like this and need it as much as possible together

and not doing this simply feeds capitalism and bad practices... (adverts, bad code, tracking, privacy, mapping people etc!)...

Eventually I / we / people of a certain intention should work towards spreading it... and that is sometimes by using it! Even 1 or 2 clicks more (which it isn't in most cases!) I will do it if it helps (and gives more ignorant people not willing to do it manually a chance to help too!)

CHOOSING TO VOTE OR NOT TO VOTE?
I honestly read this post picture (on first-look) without the "not" and then realised I read it wrong.

But then considered both versions could have truth - so made both versions as it makes for perfect truth I think and as FreeSchool I get these kinds of nuances A LOT... which helps both parties of though sometimes.

So to explain, voting could be a type of submission to system and not voting could also be a type of submission (to system, accepting our lords, landloarding system, ownership, lack of sovereignty etc)

Maybe I wish there was some middle and local caring, because this or that is like a slider where it's all or nothing and maybe neither is great (which is why people hesitate and don't do neither but neither is quite right by humans as self-justice and caring understanding is the way we need to perfect, not profit driven justice and voting for company 1 or company 2 inside the same overall company: The Gov).

A British judge on Friday tossed a case against Swedish climate campaigner Greta Thunberg and four other activists accused of not complying with police orders under an anti-protest law while peacefully demonstrating last year at a fossil fuel industry summit in the U.K. capital.

Thunberg along with Peter Barker and Jeff Rice of Greenpeace, and Fossil Free London's Christofer Kebbon and Joshua James Unwin were among over two dozen arrested at a protest against the Energy Intelligence Forum in October. The five were charged with "failing to comply with a condition imposed under Section 14 of the Public Order Act" and faced a two-day trial at the Westminster Magistrates' Court this week.

"Judge John Laws threw out a public order charge due to 'no evidence,'" the BBCreported. "The judge said that the conditions imposed on protesters were 'so unclear that it is unlawful.' He added that it meant that 'anyone failing to comply were actually committing no offense.'"

Welcoming the development, Greenpeace U.K. declared on social media, "This is a VICTORY for the right to protest!"

"It is ridiculous that more and more climate activists are finding themselves in court for peacefully exercising their right to protest, while fossil fuel giants like Shell are allowed to reap billions in profits from selling climate-wrecking fossil fuels," the group said.

"Thankfully the judge has today recognized that brave activists should not be in court," Greenpeace continued. "But let's be clear: It's the fossil fuel CEOs who should be in the dock moving forwards!"

Fossil Free London also celebrated the win, saying: "This is a rare glimmer of justice, in a rising sea of repression. Climate protest is not a crime but it is still treated as such. We resist!"

Ahead of the decision, Thunberg—who at age 15 began solitary school strikes for the climate that grew into the global Fridays for Future movement—noted on social media that she wouldn't be striking this Friday due to the trial. However, the 21-year-old still took aim at fossil fuel companies that she and the other activists were protesting last fall.

"These companies are destabilizing the biosphere and climate, the life-supporting systems we all depend on to survive," she said. "They have displaced and destroyed countless people's lives and livelihoods. We don't have the laws to keep the carbon in the ground and ensure safe lives for present and future generations."

Thunberg stressed that "even though we are the ones standing here, and climate-, environmental- and human rights activists all over the world are being targeted for their activism, prosecuted, sometimes convicted and given legal penalties for acting in line with science, we must remember who the real enemy is."

"The actual crime is committed by the very industries and companies we are acting against," she added. "We have the truth on our side, and we have morality on our side. In time, this will be revealed."

I had a look at your link, looking for advice and I wanted to give some practical feedback.

█1. I count 4 tabs or 4 links opening from this.
The first link goes to the https://bobrich18.wordpress.com> then Quora > then to http://bobswriting.com, then to handout page>
AND almost was like a link in a link each time (well it was without big accusation).

█2. And if not finding answer and having God or complaints there it feels losing and even reasonable doubt that it's not there to answer as stated.

It was more that I and generally others use click to find answer and instead find complaints about the world, God (which is ok) and long list lot of problems (ok half the page almost exactly on 2nd link). I see myself and many humans at this point complaining that you're complaining - and it's very human we complain rather than answer as answer is harder.

Some part of answer is explaining but measurably I was wondering where and at what point you would answer so this is for thsi point. Managing expectations from a link here (and now 4 tabs open from Fediverse).
Quora link DID NOTHING to answer that but provide reasons for problems.

█ SO POSSIBLE ACTIONS (moving forward, no ego on my side)

1. Separate the complains, causes, moaning (I'm talking from myself seeing I've done same) and then the answer. Or at least one long skippable intro to allow CHOICE of reader to read or not as it is 2 things different to offer. AND many know now so you're testing them by eco / god / waste info.

I think maybe you have a few things from past to link and that's reasons for multiple sources but hope you can can see without link-only page + without Quora and without complains you could have had something much shorter and concise (and had the first parts in it's own this)

█ I suggest 'as you go' way or merging it all as you probably have duplication and could well work toward making a book or something as your own incentive.
