I give people time and I thnk that's the difference to others online who really don't have or give time and give up on people really easy... (don't mean to be competitive, no put-downs, just I more dedicate time to others and weave us together).

I help people create audio / edit educational audio / podcast / music / visual short videos / transcript text
+ I like to add a bit humour while being quite strict in my own politics (opinions) but open / inviting for others to tell me what I should do if they can explain more than just a short comment (I don't mind it's healthy for me at least if you have logic and can stand yourself explaining).
FreeSchool is about Learning towards Freedom (which is about Uniting everyone slowly, even "1 by 1"... Easy with The Fediverse!
Not virtue signalling here only, but practise of EVERYTHING as we go. Judged by getting in contact (many have) and having courage to communicate (or seeking it from others is ok, EVERYONE needs a bit of courage or hand-holding to make big personal changes). Who else is there for example if family doesn't understand?
Learning and watching can be good and staying out of people's way, BUT better is doing something every day and helping each other with some tough decisions / lessons... and then being bold enough to do them. 1... 2... 3 that is all that's needed.

I'm usually impressed with my media gallery as I work on posts a lot usually or hit the "Aha!" moments and capture it (other people may forget it for years, not me!).
Freedom is about *making it work together* better like using #Mastodon on the #Fediverse daily for better platforms with more #bestpractices and 'best' people to help us which I kind of collect here and

FreeSchool is terminology put together from many good things from past (coined in 1950's/60's. I / we become it eventually through being.

I encourage you warmly to participate with me as a I have time and then spiral out naturally to others (we are part of humanity and so naturally a sort of evangelism or ecological pyramid of life as we choose to spread lesser suffering while accepting consuming is part of it).

Naturally you will hesitate if someone is sure of themself or ok standing on shoulders what we copy do the best from humbly but not too sterile either.
Based on just emotions ruins almost everything, which seems very common - very ungraceful - so don't disconnect... do it gracefully at least!
A "school" of thought is here you can interact / ask and make best together as free/low cost as possible.
Even a bad answer you can take best from (of course I won't know all your situation when I suggest something but I don't need to answer 100% - you also need to help me!).
Leave perfectionism, we are all imperfect humans! Let's do it... Choose something ANYTHING and keep the thoughts rolling together...!

Does anyone know a way to 'convert' people more concretely into our CULT / CULTURE or using better tools?
so here are my points:
- Mastodon has many different instances. I think there is so much choice that this balances any bad stuff out and means a person can choose well and also go to another place quite /very fast
- (and even after moving, they can also create their own server which is still advanced maybe BUT but 1-click is becoming more and more popular like on Linode / PirateBox / FreedomBox / Yunohost

- Yes I think your parents could find a right place (if they were already modern enough to do things on a computer) but truth is more probably that your parents don't care / are ambivalent (especially if they are already signed up to a big anonymous american company raping the data) because they didn't care about that (it's similar to people coming to the door and offering Facebook, this would be shocking and doors closed on the man selling it door-to-door for example.... but now it's ok for a few clicks and the box to say 'I read terms and conditions' they lie about and not scared of American suddenly (back then many were or just generally wouldn't give some many details and whole life to 1 company or 100 member companies!!!).
So right now it may not be perfect but Mastodon software it's a big step up from what we had which was close to nothing like this... AND *while* we can do other things like you said less JavaScript... agreed on that....
- Interesting why you don't want people converted (I would like more people using Mastodon, why not ?)
- I like the idea of non-email signup even if now there isn't perfect way other than make a disposable email address (_not saying your should_) but after signup you can SWITCH OFF EMAIL NOTIFICATIONS which means much better privacy (no more email copies)... this is 100% MASSIVE WIN as everything copied = V.BAD.
I have also suggested before to #mastodon a new window or filter called "mail" to view who or when messages are sent to make it effectively like " Mastodon Mail " ! Let's see if they implement it, even as a filter on screen... it could help people use it more as emails too while everything else gets incremented / re-assessed.

From what I've seen / heard Mastodon is very much leader or very accessible for those daring a bit to try setup or get their friends to hold their hand

(I think it's best in many ways but even if not best 2nd 3rd is ok/fine)...
The real work after basic comms is the human work.... It's about upgrading the human mind now we have basic safe communications and good hearts here... (a bit too tech-heavy but everyone start somewhere and need to bend themselves back towards other humans more directly as the good work too)
Strange also comes from your expectation or inexperience!...

It's common people don't know someone else's style or have to learn it first to see how others write (it's not all the same way for different people).
In this case it's easier as the picture helps to understand it (your last sentence is very good for it) and also some extra comments below for the concept of the picture explained a bit more;
Left side: I am suggesting that the strange or scary unknown is my website (for those that have the perspective to be scared or not learn about what it is)
- Right side: Someone expecting to learn or taking the positive approach (not that it's 'spam' or spyware or 100 thing many sites are not) and take the education side... The man is fighting *with my site* where as scared / non-confident people feed the fear (left side of picture).

Modern people can be so scared that they are literally 'scared of their own shadow'.
Also people are scared of freedom naturally (even me) like opening the door of a trapped animal which might not be sure if it's another trap or does not know how to survive without being pessimistic or hesitating and over everything people are doing now in the world other than being more free in the mind and more following others)

Isn't it misleading to put content on screen and then terms of service? Shouldn't it be an ultimatum and answering this question first?
So rather than allowing functionality shouldn't it be an ultimatum?
Instead of assuming you're ok with it by continuing to surf the content (or leaving terms and service on screen) and knowing users "nevermind" the Ts % Cs...
Like my point is it doesn't fulfil things (or am I wrong) and since T&C's are not actually needed to operate fictionally (even though legally it might be) then caring doesn't matter much?

I am the only person who loses grasp of reality while listening to rock at max volume just dancing despite needing to do work.
Does anyone know a way to 'convert' people more concretely into our CULT / CULTURE or using better tools?
So take cult and culture with pinch of salt but really to convert people to Mastodon or you know big changes like you would convert your boyfriend/girlfriend/parents suddenly - or just the basic steps for people to learn themselves... a consistent 1...2.3...
...so from mainstream to something more solid and more major change...
Something more 'all in' even eventually from small steps but aside from posts and testing people's courage on Mastodon I'm not really sure how else... and hesitate to use the master's tools against itself (for example if I signed up a Instagram thinking that would work to expose what the algorithm might suppress or even infringe from it's Instagram's own agenda and policies)

Something more rewarding than company-driven-gov-regulated templates.
I'm better at talking than typing so suggestion conversing properly.
Basically talking directly about this and something toward more-relativity with people and *practising* it directly. Tons of ideas to massage ( some here:

but yes we expect it needs a bit of will and talking around everything and bring 1 thing together - something rewarding too 'for humanity' or steps they can do while we do also.
Since you're quite comfortable financially (@rastinza / others too) I suggest thinking away from Rat Race to explore for a bit more than existing templates as the main way as that has limitations naturally.
Something rewarding (in the many ideas of this word). I'm sure we can find some ideas with a bit of will but need a 'new' way of thinking and going about it. Perhaps this needs a bit of trust to get into seeing what I mean... and then with you help levelling it up without the typical damage from doing things the prescribed way ...

Strange also comes from your expectation or inexperience!...
The word strange... (my best so far on it).
Strange is often what is simply inexperienced or not expected by the person saying it. An unknown to them as a happening or expectation.
So the next time you hear 'strange' or speak it yourself think about these things in these things in the context.
- level of experience
- level of diversity in life
- level of expectation
- level of a few other things
Strange if you say it means you have not seen it before or it's not your normal or it's creating different feelings inside yourself which is strange or 'difficult' for you to see, say or explain or something never expected or witnessed before.
STRANGER?
Changing it slightly to stranger:
A stranger is no long stranger after you talk to them a bit or simply feel ok in yourself with them around. The feeling is also yours, where some people feel good with strangers, others not.
SUMMARY
If you keep your distance always from the 'strange' or from 'strange' people or 'strangers' then that also always KEEPS them strange because, often because you didn't do the work in getting to know or practise the steps in feeling comfortable in yourself or just bold (as shown in the picture for both feeling).
Consumption of alternatives withOUT ON-GOING education of the public = FAIL OR INCOMPLETE EDUCATION. (CONVERSION IS BIG PRIORITY)
Anger can happen individually or as a people when we don't get don't get heard at all or don't understand why some people don't respond at all to some people but respond to others quite frequently.

Yeah sorry my misdirected comments, I think I was trying to relate to that kind of conformity and trying to merge it with this and similar things. but is was not really related to it. I think you're right.

Looking at it honestly, some points of various strength
a) in the first place (alone or together) we often don't know how to manage our own creativity (even in our own scenes or genre relying on those outside of our scene)
b) we are not the people paying so always someone less-politically aligned is going to be the 'giver' or choosing not to give those that ultimately they don't agree with unless it's to exploit, swaying again the purpose of the creativity.
c) when there is an xyz even the best of us seem to use it which for me summarises the expectation for others lower down the tree of understand example for youtube
"yeah but my family are on it"
"yeah but the invidious link on twitter doesn't do embeds as well as the youtube link so that why I've been using it for year but I am anti-youtube"
I could go on with collected reasoning which is tangential but relative to "even the experts and anti-people use it"
