My comment:
The above is really big and where STEM / Science, Tech, Engineering, Maths seems to do not-so-well is political intention and even seems to avoid thinking about how it can be used it for evil or re-packages... so the consideration of the "why?" overall etc and how to make sure of these things I think is a big oversight (like not giving a manual how to use something or why)....

So I was impressed **not only** by technical achievement of GNU Linux but the going towards: "social, ethical, and political initiative." which I think EVERYTHING can do.

And what doesn't do politics IS EVIL UNDERCOVER
muhahahaha.... I mean... it's deliberately 'non-political' STEM so the meta hierarchy / government can collect these tools and use it in more hidden ways or just for patenting in a money race, rat race, arms race or whatever just not giving away / solving humanity road map...

BY DESIGN it's not found in a job...

The specification and contracts ARE NOT sharing or openness or proper internal communication.

It would change the whole power structure if it did. So that is OUR TASK (non-paid job) to bring freedom back slowly like creating a free operating system with volunteers over time.

But you guys are probably shitting your pants to talk if you're not paid or not triggered by something...

Took me a few reads to get that... and still I might be off... but here's my take on it:

PARAGRAPH 1 as I would re-phrase and explain it:

" The way of thinking is important not just compartmentalisation as if how we do things are entirely separate or neutral in it's organising. (i.e. to not think about the way overall or to pretend to be neutral or just technological means the discrimination of people through numbers, cold calculations inside specifics which are overall cut-throat and not people orientated)

PARAGRAPH 2

Invention has it's own places but overall what helps, even more than 'efficiency' and intellectualization is to put things together with human context and philosophy - care to human detail that means it goes beyond colder 'best way' to achieve x or best according to others / machines.
Incorporating one's own way, not just technology (which is governed by VERY political people and thinking moves much in tech without them).

I will revise this late but keep the intention here

How and where you stand your ground is important or just not abandoning always because mass isn't behind you (it's a bully tactic but 1 problem person can either attract too much attention (which is bad) or can be a problem for them and not give too much ground / human blockade (good) )

Although waiting for mass is also part of it everything and part of the whole- it's not the only thing.
So I write this with intention that keeping the intention is important and sticking your flag in the ground / drawing the line,
Not leaving things unguarded or left unkept.
Justice is a upkeep which we need to stand by even if it's at home thinking 'how can it be symbolic or more'.
I'm also advocating choosing which level to start or gear you select but driving change (like a screw-driver) is what I mean, even if you have to screw in screw yourself! Incrementing or 1 screw at a time does it over time or make your flag and stand there.
I still encourage you to keep your intentions in a forward gear or flanking thing - not too defensive. Bodies in the way do count. Absorbing their time does work and save others.

Symbolically one person like tank man or Greta Thunberg can really say it and make it stick or on a personal level making friends with as many people as possible.

Regardless of the aforementioned politics of those individuals or what happened it's about what you believe in.... and also helps correct yourself in preparing or practising moves without being always 'all in' or just being 'out' of the picture of participation (on whatever level you can).

Easy to blame somebody for everyone's learning curve. We are all going through learning on many level... and not to take away responsibility from bastards either (they know what they are doing)

But we are also being by-standards, even silent... (in terms of building the glue between us... not just anonymous protest but personally finding whatever we can to loop each other in and give time to that also as a separate process / processor)

Not to blame people but more get-shit-done-ourself and don't take your own excuses! I will give you my 2cents if you finding it hard to continue something or even start or end it!

If you imagine the internet without Google & BigTech then you can be more realistic* and complain less.

* = get less bad stuff AND ASK FOR IT much less.

If you know the inherent model is bad then don't use it do much... and this will really test if you want the bad candy of not in your reply!

You have to say no to the whole thing sometimes, that's the design. If you act as if they don't exist in your world until we starve them out / just not add to their fire.
