New to this platform but not to open source. I have a decade of linux/infrastructure experience and more recently a focus on security (threat hunting, vulnerability analysis etc etc) . I look forward to interacting and learning with you all!

Yes, I would love to write about it. Even more than that, although time is stretched as it is, and I am neglecting some of my work areas to be putting this much into these projects, posts, blogs, etc.

Yes, Markdown is so lovely. Easy formatting and quickly we can get beautiful pages and documents done.

I use it always when posting at my Glitch and Pleroma accounts.

@globcoco Yes, I ahve two Pleroma accounts.

But to tell you the truth, I am getting deeper into using it now, and writing documentation is an excellent reason to learn it, invest time — and makes it more enjoyable and productive.

A good manual can do wonders, can save people lots of time. I used to be so frustrated because I could not understand how the Notifications worked on Pleroma FE.

It’s always been like that; I have to find my own answers, not having many people who to ask. Then after spending 3 hours figuring something out, I can pass that on to people in 5 minutes, and to them it makes perfect sense.

A good teacher, we can do that. 😋​ @a1batross @design_RG

The AWI look is Eugen’s view of what using mastodon in a wide display should be like.

I hate that look with 4 panels. Too narrow for reading, too much going on, worse than American 24 hours news stations. ADHD inducing even, imo.

I love a two panel design I have developed over time and wish it could be considered for addition to the code base.

Wrote a detailed proposal, with screenshots, and planned to try and take it to the Glitch-soc dev team for consideration.

I have just updated my Diversity in Tech original post to include the additions suggested by @design_RG

Is it possible to give admins write access, so when people add a post, others can go in and make changes, add additional info pictures etc. ? I did ask this in a comment but asking here too, so we can discuss further.

I was SO pleased to get that layout!! Honestly, as I was getting a narrow columns AWI layout no matter what I did.

But then, bang!

And now I know, and already documented. How to get either :

a single column layout with comfortable size, for reading and writing. Nice dark theme too.
a AWI if desired, and maximized even with 3 live panels.

Not that much nowadays actually, Glitch-soc is mainly done by ThibG nowadays and is probably also part of the Mastodon dev team or close to being so.

Just had some interesting interaction with an AI in a Discourse Forum. Pretty cool, the Discobot.

Graduated as a user and got a certificate even. 😋

Truth is -- it teaches users valuable, basic forum skills.

Trying to search to boost a cool post I just saw elsewhere. A beautiful watercolour, Science theme.

But alas -- no search results; likely hit one of the Blockades against Qoto.

Sucks.
