This is my fun social media account, I will post a lot of video game stuff (mostly old or cloud gaming) and some work stuff.
If I post an image with no Alt text it is because the image is just there for decoration and doesn't provide any extra meaning to the toot.

It’s sort of weird over on #Twitter right now. The whole site is on fire, pieces are failing, and yet there are still small pools of tranquil quiet. Communities that are still quietly talking about the thing they talk about amidst it all, as if nothing were happening.

🥳 #Mastodon4 is out now! The "update includes a ton of improvements, like following hashtags, translating posts, editing, an improved filtering system, customizable user roles for administration, but also some important security fixes." - @Mastodon

And wow, @PaulaToThePeople, already updated https://climatejustice.global/, thank you!
@thelinuxEXP @ChrisPirillo yeah. They are both forks of Mastodon. In fact, the Gab guy (whatever his name is) has talked about it openly.
Following the ~ 42k tweets yesterday, I deleted ~ 1400 more tweets today.

Up early this morning (up with the Partridge?) just to get some time in with this classic.
The more I play old games the more I dislike new ones. The mid 90s was an insane time packed with new ideas and this was one of the best.

Putting the #SteamDeck through its paces. It's amazing how well it handles complex 3D games.
@LouisIngenthron he is doing a good job of effectively banning himself. He’s his own worst enemy and he’s getting horrible PR and he doesn’t know it.

@mammasaurusrex There is no best, they all have pros and cons:
The Switch has a variety of systems to choose from at a variety of prices as well as a great library. It has affordability, portability, and a kid friendly library with lots of variety going for it. Minus points include the quality of the controllers, which is poor and prone to drift.
Xbox has Game Pass which is great value as well as the Series S which is a very affordable console.
PlayStation has exclusives, which might matter less when kids are concerned but it is going to be a great system for the whole family to enjoy.

For New Users, there are three time lines:
🏠 Home: Which has your posts and the people you follow
🧑🤝🧑 Local: Which has posts from people on your instance.
🌎 Federated: Which has posts from across the fediverse (other instances). They are mostly follows of all of the people on your instance but there's a few more thrown in for good measure.
@criticalfail@nerdculture.de the music doesn't help on this front
@InternetOfGames@awscommunity.social I;m fine with either. Both are boxes that play games.
@InternetOfGames@awscommunity.social lol! I rushed out and bought an Xbox.
@InternetOfGames@awscommunity.social I've played so many great indie games that I think that's where the innovation is at it's most vibrant.
