Since #Mastodon keeps attracting new users, it’s worth reiterating this crucial #infosec tip. Please remember to set up two factor authentication for your account. You can set this by using a TOTP application such as Google Authenticator, Authy, etc. Once you add a TOTP two-factor, Mastodon servers will let you add a physical key or a passkey for two-factor (preferred). I use Apple/iOS devices and passkey works really well.
