Dr. Guillermo Power @gpowerf@social.cleverlibre.org

I am a writer of screenplays and prose from the UK who carved a career in the IT industry to pay my mortgage and raise two kids before turning to my true passion - writing. I taught myself how to write screenplays by writing and producing several short films. Most recently, I won best short screenplay at the Austin Film Festival.

I like to make the ordinary extraordinary, so I write sci-fi, fantasy and supernatural horror and use comedy to lighten even the darkest of tales. #introduction

Tooting from @maartje 's Mastodon 3.11 for Workgroups! Though not sure if the parsing weirdness is my poorly setup WebOne or not

@gpowerf They arent hte only one, there are other inclusive directories.. it is however the first one new users tend to see as it is the only "official" one

Well, lets see if they care anymore if I expose this shit on twitter. If you have an account there feel free to show some support:

@jon @PavelASamsonov I like Twitter’s options: real time vs top. I like having both, I think one without the other is not as good.

Now I'll say something controversial: I somewhat miss the algorithm. What it was good for -- for me -- was pointing me to what I might have missed while I was gone. I do believe that one of the values that will be offered in a federated, open ecosystem will be recommendation services: ones that we seek and control and that provide value to us as users. Maybe Twitter's dead, maybe it's not. It doesn't really matter. We've learned that we don't need it to connect with our communities and so, much like the goblin king, it has no power over us.

Oh this looks fun 😊😊

Just migrated from a different instance because I heard all the cool kids were here. Honestly not sure how much of a difference the specific instance makes at this point.

As always, would love to (re)connect with my #iteachphysics and #modphys #modchem peoples.

Making sure my granddaughter’s favorite game is ready for Thanksgiving. #retrogaming #BubbleBobble
