This is my fun social media account, I will post a lot of video game stuff (mostly old or cloud gaming) and some work stuff.
If I post an image with no Alt text it is because the image is just there for decoration and doesn't provide any extra meaning to the toot.

#Introduction post!
I'm a lover of #VideoGames, #PixelArt, and #Chiptune. A regular #TTRPG player (pretty much exclusively #DnD but still!)
I host a #RetroGaming #podcast called Nostalgia Goggles - http://nogog.show
I (very) occasionally make #DigitalArt. I'm learning to make #music on the #piano.
I love #languages and am currently learning #spanish.
In my professional life I'm a #ProductManager at an #edtech #SaaS company, but those subjects will mostly stay on #LinkedIn.

@theretrosven @game_whisperer what can I say? I’m obsessed 😄
@InternetOfGames@awscommunity.social Cyberpunk 2077 always makes me wonder how their fake skin would work.
@game_whisperer any interesting new ones in Aliexpress lately? It’s been a while since I look.

#HaloInfinite Season 3 maps Oasis and Cliffhanger, and Chasm an unreleased map.
@jr it is incredible isn’t it? If you are a Linux desktop user you can use a Chromebook for pretty much everything that you normally do on a daily driver laptop.
Yet reading articles, watching YouTube videos and reading comments in social media you’d think a Chromebook is just a browser.

I've been using #Chromebooks since the start, and it's absolutely astonishing how far these things have come over the past decade.
Equally astonishing is how many people STILL misunderstand #ChromeOS and think it's exactly the same as it was in 2011.
That's why I put this little "quiz" together — to have something to send folks when they ask me if they should use a Chromebook and if it's true that ChromeOS can't do x, y, or z.
Pretty handy. Feel free to use it, too!

@jimblimey@oldbytes.space it is soooooo risky! Plus the site is very good at knowing exactly the sort of thing you want.

Anyone out there do much modern-day BBSing? It's something I got (back) into a couple of years ago, and find it to be a great way to enjoy some of my vintage systems. (I typically login from them with help from a bit of bridge hardware.)
I've put together a resource page with some potentially useful links for those wanting to try out telnet BBSing on vintage system and new systems, alike.
