@gpowerf @savetz Any OS, really. The game is an Infocom style game in "Z3" format, which means it comes as a downloadable .z3 file. To play the game, you just open that file in any number of Z-Machine interpreters available for free for lots of platforms. Here are some popular ones:

Saw this chart on the other site. I found it useful, and am thankful to the author ( @axborn@social.xbm.se ) for making it. #mastodon #fediverse
@Carrington @savetz for what OS?
If anyone wants to beta test the Infocom-style text adventure game I'm cobbling together for @savetz, hit me up for the link to download the game and feelies. It's called Dorm and is a game about attending a KansasFest-style retro computing event. Everyone welcome.
While not super well remembered, or as highly regarded as the SP, I still find the Gameboy Micro to be an utterly gorgeous bit of hardware that exudes charm from all angles: the colors, the faceplates, the backlit screen, the button feel... everything was so premium and is worth being a collector piece as much as a daily driver for GBA games
Also, Game & Watch Gallery 4 was the best one. This and the system deserve much more love than they ever got
@gamingonlinux shoutout to the developer of tinylife @Ellpeck
@taylorlorenz erm. Aren't some videos simply going to say something to the effect of "we identified that you are a bit of a pervert".
@darth and back buttons too... Heck, there's a lot of improvements console makers need to do :)

@darth you know what I REALLY want officially? Audio controls on the pad itself. My Turtle Beach pad has it and it is honestly transformational to be able to control team chat volume or to be able to mute it quickly when there's one guy shouting at his wife in Spanish that their friend had called and she needed to ring back quickly, also he has a few dogs barking next to him, and a kid crying in the background. Yeah, that's a real guy I wanted to mute fast but I couldn't.
@darth I do too. Works very well as well. But Xbox needs official gyro support like PS5 and Switch have :) its not perfect in Xbox world either.
@darth yeah. If there's no huge incentive to crack it people won't crack it.
Also, why don't game developers crack down massively on recreational XIM users? Because they know a huge number of people are using these devices and the game's popularity partly depends on gamers being able to use K&M if they want.
Sure, ban it for championships but stopping little Billy in his bedroom from using a XIM will have a detrimental effect on the game's popularity.
Solution? Support K&M, support gyro, support flick stick, support wheels, etc... If everything is supported by default there's much less incentive for someone to buy a XIM.
This is my fun social media account, I will post a lot of video game stuff (mostly old or cloud gaming) and some work stuff.
If I post an image with no Alt text it is because the image is just there for decoration and doesn't provide any extra meaning to the toot.
