This is my fun social media account, I will post a lot of video game stuff (mostly old or cloud gaming) and some work stuff.
If I post an image with no Alt text it is because the image is just there for decoration and doesn't provide any extra meaning to the toot.

And it was a wild and lucky guess... I tested it and it failed.
I'm a middle-aged man with no tattoos, no piercings, and I'm frowning on the photo that I showed it.
Spectacular fail.
And Isuzu UK’s advert for the AT35 on #maythe4th is…

🔎 Quick actions have been added to Mastodon search! 🔎
Now Mastodon will help you quickly find hashtags, profiles, and posts when you click inside the search box and start typing.
Search on Mastodon is gradually getting better!
Again, this is available on the web version of mastodon.social. Your server or client might not have this feature yet.
See screenshot.

No, Bluesky is not likely to federate with Mastodon any time soon. It might never happen
I had to explain this on Bluesky because some people believed federation with Mastodon was coming.
Nope! The protocols are incompatible with each other!

@gamesthatwerent I'm keeping my fingers crossed that games like this can be found and preserved. Games are no different to books or movies, preservation is massively important and currently being neglected.

Sherlock Holmes: Under the Boardwalk was planned for release in 1985 on Apple II and PCjr platforms. Although finished, the game was never released due to Bantam Software pulling out of the market. Thanks @hardistymark for flagging.

I feel like there’s a lot more conversation happening on Mastodon than Bluesky.
To get conversation, you have to go to the “What’s Hot” feed.
If you’re not hot, your posts don’t get a response.
This is good for shit posts. Not so good if you’re looking to get deep into topics.
The UK is not closed to business. Rather the opposite. It remembers the past and understands the present, and knows how to protect the future. #gaming #Microsoft #Xbox #CMA https://www.theregister.com/2023/05/02/microsoft_activision_uk_comment/?td=rt-3a

@gpowerf Also, give Duck Hunt on #Commodore64 a try! https://csdb.dk/release/?id=226342
I’m getting the itch for some #DuckHunt on #NES and some good long sessions of #CaliforniaGames on #2600 and #C64
Heck anything on C64 would be good! It has been too long since I play it. #retrogaming
