@darth exactly. I've contemplated setting up an SD card with Windows, but honestly dealing with Windows generally is not something I look forward to.
@darth I feel the same. SteamOS is a super slick dedicated gaming OS that makes the SteamDeck feel even better than an Xbox or a Switch. I think going to Windows would be a huge step backwards unless you want to play a specific that just doesn't run under Proton.
@cspam this is really bad, really really really really bad!
:(
I've started playing #Wreckfest again. What a cool racer this is :D
FWIW, solid 60 FPS on Steam Deck #gaming #gamingonlinux #SteamDeck
@neil that’s not to mention I can “retouch” on camera. I can willingly overexpose a portrait even with a film camera to reduce the appearance of wrinkles… and guess what, when a human develops that film then can also retouch at that stage too using various techniques.
Or I can wear makeup and retouch my face.
I have an idea, just label everything “image may have been retouched” by default. That’s the only way to truly comply.
@neil it is difficult to comply with “indicate whether a photograph has been retouched”, every image is retouched right? The camera takes a raw image that’s then processed by the computer (a phone generally) and then stored in a standard raster graphics format such as JPEG.
To process the image a lot of things happen that in effect amount to retouching. Things like noise reduction, white balance adjustment, tone adjustment, etc… retouching!
@darth I get mine from a local farm sometimes 😄
@darth man I want to keep chickens too!
@selea Limiting instead a f suspending seems like an appropriate step.
@freemo I fully get that too. Here we ran out of hospital capacity very quickly, slowing down the infection rate made sense then. But perennial isolation is not something I wish to endure.
@freemo COVID-19 is one of those things that should not be political but for some bizarre current era reason it is. I fully understand laymen having wildly different views though, as some people are more risk averse than others. This isn’t necessarily political.
My personal feeling is that even if something is so freaking lethal that it will surely end up killing me I’d rather spend my few remaining days is peace not thinking about it 24/7.
I would love a "fake" password that in fact is a self-destruct trigger.
On everything. Every single device.
I know there are some people out there that have something that is sort of a rip cord header destroyer out there for LUKS encrypted drives.
This needs to be more of a thing.
ESPECIALLY with the Google passkey movement now. So someone gets into your phone, they have literally everything. No further auth required. How is that at all a good idea in any way?
@estherbluezar realmente algo único! 🤷♂️
@rootfs Wakanda
hey #Canberra frens 👋 does anyone have a small LCD display with RF input (or a small CRT TV) that I could borrow? I need to get a couple of old computers going.
This is my fun social media account, I will post a lot of video game stuff (mostly old or cloud gaming) and some work stuff.
If I post an image with no Alt text it is because the image is just there for decoration and doesn't provide any extra meaning to the toot.
