@wiredfire @admitsWrongIfProven basically the 240 and the Caprice are pickup trucks with car bodies 😂
@wiredfire @admitsWrongIfProven Volvo 240s are also fine vehicles, I had one. A mini tank. The Swedish equivalent to the Caprice I posted.
@THM_T17 it was funny because the other thing I hate are huge wheels. And when I got the Isuzu the dealer offered to upgrade to a screen and bigger wheels very affordably and I was like “Noooooo! Those are downgrades”.
@THM_T17 I wanted a truck and I found that Isuzu did one with all the off road goodies that had a low end entertainment system without a screen 😄 I’m in heaven now. In the BMW it could be turned off but you had to go through the menus to do it.
@simevidas 2013 was worse. By 2013 the Web was already old enough to not feel exciting and it was missing the AI tools we have today that make so many tasks so much simpler.
@msprout he’s just a pathetic blowhard. I think the most likely scenario is that he asked his mother to tweet that when he was told that Zuck was going to choke him out 1.5 seconds into the fight.
@wiredfire @EU_Commission That would assume that politicians are able to agree on something more complex than a cable connector.
@nixCraft nowadays I simply do it as a hobby :) at work I attend code reviews, help out more junior people but I don't code regularly.
@EU_Commission thank goodness! No more Apple specific cables.

By 2024, the USB-C port will be mandatory for all portable electronic devices in the EU.
This means that you will soon be able to recharge most of your devices with the same charger, making piling up bundles of cables a thing of the past.
Not only will this make your life easier, but it will also reduce greenhouse gas emissions and e-waste.

Dwarf Fortress getting close to a Linux release on Steam https://www.gamingonlinux.com/2023/06/dwarf-fortress-getting-close-to-a-linux-release-on-steam/ #Linux #DwarfFortress
@thelinuxEXP It really leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I'm in the process of switching my home PCs and servers over to #opensuse from #fedora as a result of this action. It's a long process though.
Unfortunately, the enterprise servers I deal with are mostly running #RHEL and I really don't see that changing anytime soon. Migrating a production server that is in use to a different OS is a HUGE undertaking. If the change happens at all it will likely be during a hardware upgrade.
@thelinuxEXP So, no Fedora anymore ?
@just_a_frog @malin The goal should be “you use RHEL because you know it’s better supported and the cost is worth it”.
If people see a simple clone with a smaller community, and less known services as a viable option, the problem isn’t the clone, it’s your product that doesn’t fit the market, not the clone that’s stealing your work.
It also shows a complete misunderstanding on their part of FOSS. No one ia freeloading, it’s the MAIN POINT of FOSS.
This is my fun social media account, I will post a lot of video game stuff (mostly old or cloud gaming) and some work stuff.
If I post an image with no Alt text it is because the image is just there for decoration and doesn't provide any extra meaning to the toot.
