This is my fun social media account, I will post a lot of video game stuff (mostly old or cloud gaming) and some work stuff.
If I post an image with no Alt text it is because the image is just there for decoration and doesn't provide any extra meaning to the toot.

twitter now anti weather stations?
Saw this on a mailing list & just checked but it seems that Twitter has done another API cull around 9pm UK time last night.
This time it seems that weather stations cannot now post to Twitter.
Some that I know that were still over there all stopped at 9pm last night.

Most folks don’t realize it, but BSD greatly contributed to modern computing. Linux, macOS, iOS, and gaming consoles or streaming service are the most successful examples that borrowed ideas and code from the BSD world directly or indirectly. Even at one point windows used networking stuff from BSD world. How often do you ssh into servers and network devices? That code comes from the BSD world too.

What's the best piece of software ever written?
@benjedwards something so small, elegant, and useful that I don't feel qualified to pinpoint it.

This is how my desk looks these days, now that I've been trying to use the #MSX more to play SD-Snatcher in the evenings.
@solarisfire I have to admit that it is pretty expensive for a game that's just an online multiplayer. There is a story, but honestly it's not that different to free games like Fortnite or Halo Infinite. But it plays very well :) So far anyway.
I guess you could say it's like Splatoon, in fact quite similar! There a big PvE element and they are full price online multiplayer games.
