I have enough practise now that I’m going to be exploring British inland waters more often.
I’ve started my day with an hour of paddle boarding every morning for the last 3 days. I wish I could do more but sadly I have to leave the #beach 😔 I’m ready for active retirement now.

@adama I’m told it was partly owned by Germans, that the changes that Duterte made to Boracay to try and make it more picturesque and clean it up also affected the economy badly and this hotel was one of the victims. That the double effect of the Duterte rules + the pandemic took it under. The front is currently being unofficially used by local people to serve food to tourists. I had lunch there, was great! All window frames and door seem to have been stolen.

This #RetroWeekend I will have a look at the #Lambda8300. It is a #ZX81 clone from 1983 that was made in Hong Kong. It was sold worldwide under different names, like PC 8300, DEF 3000, Tonel PC, Futura 8300, Power 3000.
Although it's a clone, there are a few, but major differences. It has 2KB of internal RAM (ZX81 had only 1KB), a slightly different character set, it could make sound, and BASIC keywords could be typed out (ZX81 had the keywords assigned to individual keys).

Abandoned hotel in #Boracay #Philippines
I’m told this fell foul of new regulations that meant the hotel had to be further from the beach and due to lack of funds because of the pandemic it was simply abandoned. There were no funds to rebuild.
I got a National Emergency Alert in the early hours of the morning for an earthquake. I was in the road and didn’t feel a thing…
Today involved 2 flights, 2 bus rides, 1 boat ride, and 2 rides in minivans. Tired…

#Boracay looks great in photos. But it’s rather touristy and way way way busy!
@JJFlash I’ve wondered and I think that perhaps he doesn’t care if he loses billions of dollars, he’s super rich and spoilt enough that he does it for kicks to annoy people and have a laugh. He’s certainly a peculiar man.
