We've spun up our own Mastodon instance at @raspberry_pi - hosted, naturally, on a Raspberry Pi. More details at raspberrypi.com/news/an-escape - we'll have a how-to if you want to roll your own next week.

Who remembers the

GIZMONDO

Geforce powered Windows CE Handheld goodness🤔😂

But does it run "Doom", Yes it does as I'm the idiot that ported it over😩
along with Duke Nukem 3D and much more....

Look at this beauty! The paint job is actually really well done.
Looking forward to seeing what's going on inside here. I gather the synth mod was never finished.

Now @Raspberry_Pi has its own @Mastodon instance, and because we’re committed to supporting platforms that support us, we’re putting our money where our mouth is. We have become a platinum sponsor of #Mastodon. In case you don't know Mastodon is a non-profit corporation based in Germany supported by both its sponsors and patreons. #TwitterMigration joinmastodon.org/sponsors

New package direct from Italy (is there an Arduino account to tag?)

In my opinion, criticisms of mastodon being unusable by the general public are over blown.

If you assume that half of my 32k Twitter followers are dead accounts / bots etc, that means in a week of Mastodon, I've managed to attract roughly 6% of my Twitter followers

Which, you know, really isn't terrible!

If I could somehow keep this up, I could have 1/4 of my Twitter following on Mastodon within a month. Which would be pretty mega / make it well worth sticking around here

@LouisIngenthron not being able to deliver new models really has to hurt them. They announced the Cybertruck before any other EV pickup, and since then we have had other manufacturers deliver:

* Hummer RV
* F-150 Lightning
* Rivian R1T
* Siverado EV
* And even at the budget end we have the T90EV

5 manufacturers beat them to market and the Cybertruck is nowhere to be seen.

I'm not even convinced they will ever deliver a single one of the European pre-orders for it since I really don't think they can make it pass pedestrian collision tests. I may be wrong, but Tesla should be keeping people informed. They aren't doing that, they simply cancelled European pre-orders and everyone in Europe who pre-ordered one has no idea if they are getting a truck or not.

The technology behind the cars is impressive, but they are not a credible business. Why buy something from a chaotic company like Tesla when you can buy a Toyota or a Ford?

@gpowerf I love these types of posts. And I fully believe freedom in where wr gsme and when is of utmost importance. Even more important than immersive graphics. Gaming should be like reading a book - that level of portability.

@ThaMunsta I know. I will miss it a lot! None of the other cloud gaming services is quite as polished.
