Twitter is facing a highly uncertain future. Posts on the birdsite may be of a more temporary nature than many users are ready to assume.

If you have a question about my time undercover in the far right, let me know and I'll do my best to answer!

Not optimistic this will work here, but since I offered it on my Instagram #introduction, I figured I should try! #journalism

@noturtlesoup17 I don’t know if you can answer my question. But something that I’ve always wondered about going undercover is the possibility of growing to like some of the people you meet.

Did you meet anyone who you thought had some abhorrent views, but you also saw a side of them that you liked in some way?

"Musk’s new legal department is also apparently asking engineers to “self-certify” compliance with FTC rules and other privacy laws."

If you know people working at Twitter, you need to tell them to resign rather than do this. That company is asking you to absorb the institution's liability, and the muskrat will fuck you without hesitation if you allow the possibility of that happening to exist.

@arstechnica for a determined prankster spending $8 on a joke is money well spent if that joke is so huge that news articles are reporting it. This was entirely predictable.

@TheRetroRoomRoo that’s cool. Enjoy it 👍 I really should look into getting one of the “failed” consoles, I’m liking the idea of an Atari Jaguar.

birdsite drama, consent decree

I enjoyed reading @mmasnick's post on the FTC Consent decree and Twitter. Covers the situation well and why Elon is almost certainly in for a world of hurt.

My habit has been to regularly delete older tweets and to not use Twitter DMs for anything I wouldn’t say out loud, but many people default to trusting the platforms they use, which puts them in legitimate danger. When it comes to social media platforms, trust nothing. Remain mindful and protect yourself.

@ted I'm sure Richard Stallman would be very unhappy about that. 🤣

@bbcmicrobot @rheolism that’s great. I’ve started exploring what’s out there on instances today. 👍

@jonnypencils@mastodon.cloud it is a tough game to play through. I’ve not finished it yet.

This is our first post on Mastodon ✨
