This is my fun social media account, I will post a lot of video game stuff (mostly old or cloud gaming) and some work stuff.
If I post an image with no Alt text it is because the image is just there for decoration and doesn't provide any extra meaning to the toot.

@wiredfire it’s best that way. Twitter is way too confrontational! Even innocent comments can receive the most aggressive of answers. Best to let it be and not even check the notifications there.

ME: "Hey, the 1980s called and they want their pants back"
STRANGER WHO IS SECRETLY A TIME COP: "They called?! That's a level 3 violation!"

I am a retired civil engineer with experience in offshore structures.

I was first introduced to computer programming with #FORTRAN IV nearly 50 years ago and now do some minimal programming in #python and C++. I have a few small projects on #github using the same name as here.
I also do some #3dPrinting and enjoy using #octoprint (...)

Since the Fedi is way more popular now than it has been about 9 months ago I'm curious:
What is your current main operating system?
RT appreciated. 😉

Can anybody recommend a mastodon app for iOS? The once I downloaded seem to not work with mstdn.science
@martinsteinegger I'm a fan of TooT. It is very intuitive, similar to Mastodon on the Web and it does translations too.
@ChrisPirillo when the goal is purely attention you create a tonne of issues. Algorithmic social media doesn't value "good" attention, it only values attention and it turns out that the easiest attention to foment by an algorithm isn't exactly "good"... it is negative, and divisive.
@JohnnyRobot I can't wait for it to come to the UK!
