This is my fun social media account, I will post a lot of video game stuff (mostly old or cloud gaming) and some work stuff.
If I post an image with no Alt text it is because the image is just there for decoration and doesn't provide any extra meaning to the toot.

@hodgepodge117 I don't know if I am much in love with it anymore 😆 Splitgate was much more rewarding tonight.
I got a -8.7 KDA! I had never ever had a KDA that low.
@hodgepodge117 to double check I loaded Splitgate and I did OK there. The balance has defiantly changed in Halo and to my detriment.
I've either become totally awful at #HaloInfinite or the latest updates and changed things significantly. I didn't have a single good match tonight!#xp

Experimenting with chirp.social groups - so here’s @RetroGaming for your #retrogaming chat 😁
Follow the group account to join and get posts from other members, tag the group to share to it.
Anyone abusing the group, consistently going off-topic or breaking the rule of “don’t be a dick” will be quietly removed from the group.
Game on! 😁
I've started to play video games standing much more often than sitting, the health benefits are well known plus it gets me closer to the TV. #gaming
@rpilocator @Raspberry_Pi 100k? Are Raspberry Pi sales that low? I assumed they were bigger :) I have 4. Anyway, good luck with the supply issues.
@ChrisPirillo this is awesome!

Twitter isn't even a *publishing* platform, not even in the way WordPress is.
Anyone can install and self-host WordPress.
No one, except Elon Musk, can install and self-host Twitter.
Twitter is just a publisher.

I'll start to enforce a dress code in my replies, e.g. must wear 80s/90s computer-themed tie to reply

#introduction Hi, first toot! I'm a scientist and secular humanist. I love reading (fantasy and sci-fi but anything really), clouds, timekeeping, moose, the 80s, and classic rock music. Causes include the planet, human trafficking, and US blue wave 🌊

@joshuatopolsky It’s not just links to Mastodon. It happened to me just using the word mastodon in another context. My link was actually to a story about mastodon DNA being sequenced at the MIT Technology Review
