Most striking theme of the Mastodon migration is how many folks try to recreate bird site here without understanding what lead them here.
It's a FOSS project governed by community. Ideas move slowly but thoughtfully. Reasoning comes before effort.
If you like everything about Bird site except it's current owner, Mastodon is probably not for you.
