#GodotEngine Somehow, I almost perfectly got the gravity force working. I still need to figure how to properly affect velocity for wall collision. Right now there's another value that just sets the velocity without any care for wall collision reaction

Are you a gamer and do you play video games?

@nlarson830 no idea 🤷‍♂️ but this last one I posted does pass European safety standards and is for sale in Europe.

@tarek@social.sdf.org I voted to switch to emacs simply because you gave us a chance to torture you. I could not resist :(

@The_Whore_of_Blahbylon I'm translating this into British:

"The next time you happen to chance upon a chap driving a TD5 Land Rover that has been expertly configured to emit plumes of smoke akin to a steam engine, I implore you to visualize a timid squid squirting ink as a self-defensive mechanism in response to feeling apprehensive."

And yes, these people exist. Usually driving a Defender or Discovery that's lifted with a snorkel and their approach to off-roading is to ignore all official green lanes and just destroy everything around them. Horrid folk.

@kuroi_tengu one Euro and one Japanese. Gotta have the proper 60Hz one too. :D

@nlarson830 does the layout of the T90EV stress you less? The wires are more out of the way.

@gpowerf My kids and I have been wanting to play that one. It looks fantastic.

I read somewhere that it was a game you could finish over a few days and I think that's something missing today.

When I was a kid, there were so many great games that I played and beat over the course of a weekend. Now it seems like it takes weeks for me to get through a single title. Granted I don't have as much free time as I used to, but the same types of games have gotten 'padded' in length as well.

damn, I noticed an error :) I wrote this before Hogwarts was released!

@dgar may I suggest we scrap English as the universal language and choose something nice and phonetic. Like Spanish.

Every C in Pacific Ocean is pronounced differently.

@Judeau I agree. A nice modern example of a short and amazing game for me is Stray. I LOVED that game so much.

Thinking about it if they wanted to do an AWD version of this what they need is a conversion kit to convert the truck to live axle and then mount two motors. Ideally two lighter motors! Because these axles probably weight a TONNE! That's a lot of unsprung weight.

This Chinese EV pickup is pretty interesting. It is 2WD only conversion using a setup very similar to the SAIC MAXUS T90EV, that's to say a rear-mounted electric motor attached straight to the differential housing.

Seems hodgepodge and low tech, however, what I like about this approach is that it means that manufacturers can go EV sooner by converting their existing trucks easily.

Despite the hodgepodge approach, the range for this truck is 453-kilometer, and the power and torque are 177 hp and 450 Nm which is similar to other mid-size trucks with 4-cylinder turbo-diesels.

As for the looks, yes! It is in fact very much just an old Nissan Navara and it is a Zhengzhou-Nissan joint venture.

I personally want a 4x4 truck as I do off-road. But for those people who don't something like this is fine. I don't think there's anything wrong with the low-tech EV approach. Particularly not for the commercial market.

As for the name, this is the Dongfeng Rich 6!
