@gamingonlinux good. I think the specs need to stay stable for years for developers to target the Deck specifically. If there's always a new Deck around the corner developers will not target the current Deck and they will simply hope the game runs well enough in the upcoming one.

@solarisfire @gpowerf Just one or two...

And these are the ones that aren't in bits or tucked away in boxes. 😁

I pretty much take my 3mx everywhere with me as a pocket word processor. @zedstarr and I are working with someone who's developing MAME-based Psion emulators. I've been working on a USB SSD drive and have theories about a WiFi Pack. We're trying to get together as much documentation as possible, and develop new tools, especially for the 16 bit (SIBO/EPOC16) range, like the Series 3.

@gpowerf I always love the Psions... Wish they hadn't gone out of business before I was old enough to afford one!

I love charming little computers :) What do you think has the most charming little computers? The present or the past?

Any particular era with the most charming?

PS: Yes, your phone counts if you want :)

@jonnypencils@social.retrodon.net you know what I always wanted one of these! They just look so neat.

@GumVonSchweetz want to know what’s more frustrating? I couldn’t choose what I won and the game gave me an XP boost!!! So I lost the chance to choose the cool looking coating. Grrrr…

@gerowen @darth I honestly think that if you just want to play games today they both are kind of much of a muchness if you haven’t got a huge library of older games. Sure XBox has backwards compatibility, Game Pass, and consoles that don’t look ugly going for it. But PlayStation has VR, more modern controllers with gyro, and more exclusive new games.

But I do agree that backwards compatibility is good. Sony and Nintendo do nothing for game preservation, at least Microsoft is doing something.

With the evaporation of his wealth, Elon has scaled back his ambitions from a colony on the planet Mars to a QAnon militia compound in Mars, Idaho.

PS: yeah… I also spent plenty on the shop for this season because… well because I love this buggy mess.

And good luck getting it to work on Proton so you can game on Linux like a human being should 😉 Nah… it crashes out on Proton, no version of Proton works with this game. As for Windows users? Plenty are reporting it crashing out too… 1047 Games? Where’s that Splitgate folloup so we can play a game that isn’t riddled with bugs?

@duhproject I don’t blame you. I’m here planning a heist to steal it from you 😉

I want to play the short lived event but this game is sooooo buggy! The codebase for this game is probably an insane mess and pile of technical debt. Every time it gets a minor update there are regressions galore! Some so huge that I am amazed it passed QA.

Right now your settings, they get wiped! That’s it, you have to remember them and enter them every time you play.

I won a reward here I think. What reward? Who knows! The thing crashed… 🤷‍♂️
