@asmodai If I knew the use now I'd be rich :) however, I can envisage a vast virtual world where blockchain technology is used in the game's economy.

@asmodai I'm not against NFTs in games, I'd like to see if there are any cool innovative uses.

However, yes, every time a videogame publisher or movie studio ignores waves of dislikes for their project it is essentially turning a blind eye to a problem.

Is the public always right? No. Does the public at times behave like hordes of morons? Yes. Do they do this all the time? NO! The public is often right and even if they are not you cannot just ignore masses of negative sentiment about your movie or game

@gpowerf I strongly disagree with this. The biggest problem with current models is people's propensity to anthropomorphize them and see reason and logic where there is none. "Humanizing" them would just exacerbate that problem further.

Single-user instances don't get much visibility because of the way ActivityPub works. So for #FollowFriday, here's an eclectic list of solo instances: some tech, some memes, some just interesting and unusual.

@mistersql if you try to get it to write something about itself, even if you provide most of the content and ask it to rephrase things it will respond with "I’m sorry but I prefer not to continue this conversation. I’m still learning so I appreciate your understanding and patience." and shut down the conversation. You have to restart.

( ) is a powerful tool that is changing the way we live and work. However, as we interact with AI, it's important to remember that it's still in its early stages of development. When Bing Chat says 'I’m sorry but I prefer not to continue this conversation. I’m still learning so I appreciate your understanding and patience,' it can be frustrating for us as humans who are used to communicating with other humans.

But instead of simply shutting down the conversation, there needs to be an approach that humanizes the AI. By creating AI that behaves more like a human, we can make it easier for people to interact with it. This means developing AI that can handle difficult conversations and learn from its mistakes, just like we do.

In the end, the goal of AI is to make our lives easier, not harder. By working together to humanize AI, we can create a more productive and satisfying relationship between humans and machines.

It is worth noting that helped me write this toot, refused to help multiple times.

Before and after.
Old #Vic20 was in pretty bad condition inside and out. The case was so yellow it was almost brown. Now it's shiny and white and contains a Raspberry Pi running BMC64 the bare metal Commodore emulator.

Walking in the footsteps of giant Triassic reptiles at Kildonan 🖤 this trace fossil is known as Chirotherium (meaning hand-beast) and it was made by a huge crocodile-like reptile that once roamed Arran when it was still part of the supercontinent Pangaea 240 million years ago 🖤
