Otherwise, OpenAI might harvest all your data, including trade secrets. Humans take shortcuts easily without realizing risks. I am not a big fan of banning stuff, but companies don't have a choice here. Some HR also updates job contracts that tell employees not to use any AI tool for coding and increasing company legal liability as they don't know the code origin

Seems like the guy behind Linux Gaming Central has just nuked the website, the twitter and mastodon account. Weird. Hope everything is okay.

I reckon #TikTok bans as well as videos of Shou Zi Chew looking like the only person with a brain in the room during the Congressional testimony will make TikTok cool. :)
@wiredfire I agree 100%. And given how pushy VPN companies are with their marketing I really don't think there are many people from the online generation out there who don't know how to bypass a ban like this.

Signed up to a Friendica server. Wasn’t allowed to create my own password on registration but rather was emailed, in clear text, a password along with my username. Logging on first time there is no prompt to require password change.
That’s a security practice red flag 🚩

One reason I’m retiring in 2 months is due to the return to the office policy. I’ve been working from home since August 2019. Everything is getting done. My customer is happy. So why should I go back? I’ve got no commute except the 40 steps to my office. It’s been fun. Later days. My first summer off since 1977. Woohoo!
