RHEL goes full corporate mode

Corporatists being corporatists. LOL
#RedHat is doing what #Ubuntu will likely do in the future.
These companies get to the top using free software and then quash anyone from coming up after them.

This is the one advantage #ArchLinux with its disorganised mess has. We don't have to worry about corporatists messing things up

81% of companies with fewer than 5K
employees offer remote work compared to 26% of those with 25K+ employees.

The question is whether big companies know more about productivity than small companies or whether factors like office leases and insecure managers are a bigger factor in big tech?

Daryl is the sort of person who walks into an Apple Store and asks where the Dells are at. Daryl is the sort of person who goes to Shanghai and complains that nobody is speaking English. Daryl is the sort of person who buys an Xbox to play PlayStation exclusives. Daryl why Daryl? Why? They sell RAMs! Not Ford, not Chevy, not Toyota, not GWM, not Isuzu, not Mazda, not Mitsubishi, not Land Rover. RAM! Yes? They sell RAM.

@kevinrothrock somehow I always imagined Russian chess sets like the beautiful hand carved ones you see for sale in India. Maybe I was wrong.

Russia’s military, police, and National Guard seem to be doing virtually nothing as Prigozhin seizes state buildings. The public too is just standing around

@TodayInTwitter Twitter died the day the API started to become a way to make money. I really don’t get it! The API is basic functionality, it’s how we talk with the service. If you remove it the service is gone. Bye Twitter.

Twitter has suspended every single API key not belonging to a Twitter Blue subscriber.

Every. Single. Key. 9to5Mac’s? Dead. Apple’s for iMessage previews? Dead.

Every single API key has been revoked. The Twitter API is officially dead.

@jmsdnns isn’t the third Zelda game called The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past?

we had "mobile first"
then "cloud first"
then "api first"

but never "user first"

I used to work with a polio survivor.
He couldn't walk, his legs were too weak because of the virus. He moved around in a wheelchair or on crutches that held his whole body weight.
He was a gentle dude.
But one time, we were all just chatting away and one of the workmates starting saying vaccines were bad and a conspiracy to make children sick.
My guy slapped him and said "Be grateful that I can't kick you. If I had a vax, I would probably be walking. You don't know what you're talking about."

@davidwilkins oooh, Opel Kapitan, Admiral and Diplomat are nice :) Especially the V8 kind, proper full-size cars. I really like them.
