Thanks to @Devilish_Design printer terminal at RetroFest I got the simple Mandlebrot program to run on my #C64.

PC-Engine Turbo Express, fully restored back from the dead. Replaced with a modern IPS screen and in mint condition. Very happy with all the work. 3 more to do 😂
DXVK 2.0 was released. Linux gaming continues to improve. https://9to5linux.com/dxvk-2-0-released-with-major-changes-and-improved-support-for-many-games #xp #gaming
It is hard to believe the Xbox Series consoles are already 2 years old today. They still feel new! I guess the shortages during the pandemic kind of did weird things to our perception of time here. #gaming
It occurred to us that we never did an #introduction - and we've been here a whole 24 hours. We're #RaspberryPi. We're from #Cambridge, UK, where we design and make tiny #computers and #microprocessors. We've sold more than 50 million of our computers in the last ten years: you'll find them everywhere from hackspaces and schools to the #ISS, tracking penguins on glaciers and automating factories.
So far we're really liking it here.
You can now preorder the Yars’ Revenge and Centipede collectible Atari 2600 cartridges at Limited Run games. Pretty cool!
If you enjoy tinkering around with the C64 or Vice you absolutely need this book! It is invaluable. #xp #retrocomputing
Three of my favourite machines, the Vectrex and two Sharp X1s. The Sharp on the left of the picture (the black one) especially because it’s the X1 Twin, a combined X1 and PC Engine, definitely the most high class way of playing PC Engine games NEIL ;). (yes this toot was mostly to make a gag about @rmcretro that people who aren’t patrons to his channel won’t understand) #retrogaming #retrocomputing
Assuming the term “Musk to tusk” has yet to be coined, I’d like for that to be my first (and only) contribution to the migration discourse. #introduction #noxp
@gpowerf @RDHale that’s kind of how i see the future, there will be commercial instances set up to promote various things, and the kind of people who currently have “people” handling their social media will have someone running their own instance as well. As a balance to that, part of the beauty of the federated model is that misbehaving servers can be blocked at the discretion of each and every other server, so all the money and server farms in the world won’t necessarily buy your way into anyone else’s timeline.
If you download your Twitter archive it arrives wrapped as a static HTML page, which is not very useful for doing anything with, and worse: it requires the original account to be still active to do useful things like enlarge the images since they use t.co links.
So here's a Python script to convert a Twitter archive to markdown or other formats: https://github.com/timhutton/twitter-archive-parser
Now you can archive your tweets in any way you want.
I got up extra early this morning and rather than working out, I tried Sonic Frontiers for a few minutes.
It seems OK so far. #gaming
$80 could get you a blue tick next to your name for 10 months on the birdsite
Or
$80 could get you a Z80 based RC2014 Classic II running BASIC in 32k of RAM.
If you have saved $80 by switching from Twitter, what are you going to spend it on?
This is my fun social media account, I will post a lot of video game stuff (mostly old or cloud gaming) and some work stuff.
If I post an image with no Alt text it is because the image is just there for decoration and doesn't provide any extra meaning to the toot.
