London is a singular city of surprises and new discoveries, even for a grizzled veteran London visitor. This the Battersea Power Station, which has undergone an incredible renovation.
I hope to see many of you when I make my London debut this January in Allegiance!

"jokes" about Romany people and Travellers being "thieves" are never funny. That's racism - and it perpetrates harm through offensive stereotypes towards these Peoples who are still enduring 100s of years of oppression and violence.

And stop using the G word in bios to express how much of a boho whimsical flowerchild you are. You're fucking not Susan, not even if you did once go barefoot at Blues Fest.

Covet racism is far too common amongst centralists and self-appointed progressives.

As a mod, I'm here for you all. And that includes ensuring this Instance is safe for all historically and/or socially marginalised peoples.

For those that joined #Mastodon and grabbed the first server they could find, but would prefer to #migrate to a different one, I created a short guide on how to do this quickly and easily.
It also allows you to easily move any followers across to your new profile and leaves a redirection on your old profile for those that find it to help them get to your new one. 😁👍

I'd love if you could share it among your networks to help those that will invariably need it later on.

I've seen a complaint from friends that Mastodon/Fediverse is too "specialized" which admittedly can be a side effect of starting on a super-focused server... but I've also found out myself that you sorta have to cast a pretty wide net and be willing to follow liberally but also unfollow/block/mute liberally as well to keep widening your scope to other topics of interest.

I’m glad this #Mastodon #server has an edit button for #posts

!

Boost this toot if you're planning on sticking around Mastodon whether or not it becomes more popular than the birdsite.

When I recognize somebody from Twitter who just joined Mastodon…
