@gpowerf I played an emulation of the 2600’s version of Pac-Man a few years ago. I had no idea that the muscle-memory I developed to clear a level without even trying would still be buried in me somewhere, even on a modern controller rather than with the classic CX40. 🎆
Posting photos on #Mastodon can be a bit daunting for me due to the expectation of including alt text. When I don't have the luxury of time to craft a suitable description or am struggling to come up with one on the spot, I usually end up skipping the photo altogether. It would be great if there was an AI-powered solution for #alttext that could consistently deliver reliable results.
When it comes to #gaming, the quality of the game itself is what really matters, not just the graphics. The Atari #2600 may not have had the high-definition visuals of today's games, but it was a pioneer in the industry and brought joy to millions of people through its classic titles like Space Invaders, Yars' Revenge, and Pitfall.

Classic games forever. Will I be playing Halo Infinite in 20 years? No. Will I be playing California Games and Yars' Revenge? If I am still around, sure, I will be.

This is the Firebomb Edition of the GWM Cannon: a limited edition version of a Chinese pickup that already gets quite a lot of press internationally. This edition features a lift, new wheels and tyres, a revamped grill, wheel arches, and roof rack. The snorkel is included as standard in the regular Off-Road edition (as far as I know).
The Cannon is a fascinating truck that unfortunately isn't available in the UK. It sits somewhere between a mid-size and full-size truck, and is powered by a typical small turbo diesel engine, which delivers between 163 to 224 hp and ample low-end torque - in line with other mid-size trucks.

And another one bites the dust: #HogwartsLegacy story completed tonight. Still have plenty of collectibles, side content and achievements to hunt down. This game did something for me that few games have ever done, and it did it in a world I have escaped into (by page, by screen and by dream) since I was a little boy. The love and care poured into every corner of this game… just phenomenal. On to the next game of 2023!
OK. I like this button mapping best when coupled with 4 back buttons/paddles. #HaloInfinite #gaming
