It makes far more sense to me to make the right trigger a right mouse click and the left trigger a left mouse click. Usually I'm also being precise with the right trackpad at that point, then my left hand is perfectly available to do a left mousetrigger click.

It'll also be less confusing when a game tells me to rightclick something. 😋

Here we go again: Mastodon is not just for FOSS and Fediverse purists. If i want to post highlighting that I am also on other platforms, some you may not like or want to use - just scroll to the next post. Be accepting that people are in other places. Lecturing people and hassling people about being in places you don’t like is unhelpful notification noise and I will block people who keep doing it.

A not-so-well-known fact: Batman is a programmer. He writes custom software for his stuff.

is running phenomenally well on with GE .

60FPS on some levels and close to 60 on others. Better than I ever though it would run!

@matthewp I think most of this perception is also because the press cannot resist the angle of Mastodon vs Twitter. It’s like their editors will not release any fediverse-related article without mention of Mastodon 😄

Quote of the day from my manager yesterday:

"You can't make something idiot proof, you can only make a bigger idiot." 😆

I think this article and other articles about this letter are written in such a way that they exaggerate the threat of AI systems becoming dangerous conscious entities and overlook the real potential benefits and current dangers of AI.

AI is not about to go Skynet on humanity, AI can be used for good or evil depending on how we design, regulate and use it.

More importantly, though, can also bring massive benefits to humanity, including improving health care, productivity, education, entertainment, etc...

However, AI also poses real challenges and risks right now! Risks like ethical issues, biases, privacy, security, and social impact are real and relevant now.

These are the issues that we should focus on and address. But fear-mongering and sensationalism create clicks so… we can’t avoid them.

A controller with a screen is good. But you know what would be better? ! Just like everything else. Adding a touch screen to controllers and still keeping them gyro free is akin to adding climate control to a car with a hand-crank starter. videogameschronicle.com/news/x

Super Nintendo cartridge stand is coming along quite nicely!

When it’s done I just need to paint the logo.

If You replace the w in "what, when, and where" with a "t" it answers each of those questions.

Whilst d-pad on the is far from the best ever it isn't as bad as I thought it would be. Having said that, yes you are still better served playing games using a separate joypad.

Yeah, those are space butts and yeah those are indeed fart clouds. Where was this game when I was 13 years old?

It is also worth noting that this game is not Steam Deck certified but it runs perfectly on Deck.

Okay Microsoft, so you're going to disenfranchise users of software YOU wrote? Users in poorer countries who don't have the luxury of choice? You're going to block emails from their servers, because you have RISEN ABOVE your old software?

If only there were other ways to defang malicious email... /sarcasm

Yes, I do know that insecure mail servers are a huge problem. But this is a tech giant exerting the kind of market pressure likely (cynical readers may say DESIGNED) to increase its revenue/licence fees.

Don't make me use the B word.

Was a hell of a refurb job back then when I got it. 😩

The Macintosh SE/30 (1989-1991) was Apple's fastest compact B&W Mac Featuring a single Processor Direct Slot, up to 128 MB RAM, and a 1.44 MB high-density floppy disk drive, a powerhouse in its day 💾🖥️ #marchintosh
